The authority includes 70 elected members of the city council highlighting these reasons to end the deal. Misrepresentation to the Stadium Authority regarding the qualifications and contract procurement for public work, noncompliance with state law including failing to pay wages and the failure to properly manage stadium and maximize performance of nonnfl events. The families who live here including the families who live next to the home where this happened have been neighbors for decades. The homer in the middle here is where the fire happened. We have spoke with several neighbors this morning visibly upset. A young woman 23 years old lived in this home with her 71 yearold father in the family dog. The woman and her dog did not survive this fire. The fire family is in the hospital with lifethreatening conditions. Around 2 00 this morning firefighters got a call about the fire at the house and keep people trapped inside and neighbors rushed outside to try to help. People were yelling thing get out, get out. You can hear from the house the screening and everything filled with smoke and they seem to happen fast. My dog was barking in the middle of the night i noticed he wouldnt stop so i went to the right of me and i saw flames coming out and i ran out of the house. Authorities were called. I ran out and started screaming help, help. I grabbed my hosting Service Bring the house. Firefighters were able to go inside the burning building and bring out the woman and her father. Paramedics performs epr but the woman died from her injuries at the hospital. The dog also died in the fire. The young woman had just started law school. The mother died of cancer several years ago and it was only the daughter and father living here. A short time ago we saw neighbors with fully removing some of the victims families photos from the debris pile in front of the home. Overnight firefighters had to remove some of the debris from the homes living room to clear the way for investigators to go in and determine cause of fire. When the sun came up the family photos were visible and exposed to the rain. They collected the personal items to save and give to extended family members. In the last couple of minutes while we were showing you the video we saw investigators with San Francisco Fire Department go into the home. Thats whats great about adopting more mindset is about giving women flexibility and respect as they come back to work. Not dumping everything into their lap on the first day they arrived and understand that respect above what going on through their eyes. They are stressed and overtired. Theyre worried about the job they have. What can you do as a colleague or leader to make the transition easier . Its all about creating flexibility and respect in the environment whether theres official pay policy or not. A lot of women i know going back to work for the first time put on their armor, they buy a new suit, get a sharp haircut and when there at the office to make a point of not talking about the baby because they dont want to be seen week is that misguided . Absolutely need to create environments where people can do their best work and thrive and to deny this person now has a second job that could be pulling them away from being the most productive or most innovative not only does it do a disservice for workers but it does a disservice for the company there is Ample Research that shows empathetic organizations boost productivity, innovation, and have better talent retention and all the things impact the bottom line. I have a mantra that i developed on my own but i have asked out to so many new young mums in our newsroom. I am taking care of my family by going to work. Do women have to rearrange their thought process from for me i wish i was with the baby to you know what my being here is paying for the membership and the diapers. Its all about presence and priority. When you are with your child are you your most present . Are you there . There has been studies that show children of working moms do better. They see a great role model. They are more productive than their schoolwork. There is lots of different studies that show that. Its an idea that women need to understand what a great role model they are being for their children. As long as their present when they are with their children and not on the all the time making those boundaries for themselves and work the better it is for kids. We need to do a better job of putting our arms around each other. I know what its like to be about 2 00 and 4 00 am feeding a baby that doesnt want to sleep. Men as well. Lets not leave them. One of the big things as it stands right now 30 of black men cannot sit as jurors due to a felony conviction. We see the way criminal trials work. People that are coming are people of color. You dont get a jury of your peers that doesnt exist. There are some restrictions. If youre on probation. Some dont have these restrictions. Do you feel they should be in place . I would prefer to not have restrictions at all. Simply because someone has a felony conviction doesnt mean they cant be fair or just. It doesnt mean they cant evaluate evidence like uri could. I am looking at the jury pool and asking questions and they are coming up one at a time. They could bring up the fact that individual in front of us is an exfelon and that could be an argument in front of a judge not to put this individual into it . They have to show more than that. It can be brought up if you ask about it. It will remain in effect. Prosecutors are trained to ask about questions and sewer defense attorneys. There is no bias the person should be allowed to sit. In long beach they had studied this for years. They have surveys that show there is no difference. One thing i read across the country is that exons can serve on juries but at the same time lawmakers need to be out there enhancing penalties for those that are convicted of pushing drugs are violent crimes.
