The das office announced at the hearing today that they will not seek Capital Punishment in the case. He was charged with murder and attempted murder. All this follows months of questions about his mental state. The judge finally ruled that he was in fact competent to stand trial. The new allegations stem from an incident in february that involves a knife. Reporter Austin Vincent watched into the hall of justice surrendering himself this morning, looking very different from his mug shot. He had a previously scheduled court date today. This attack was captured by Surveillance Video in the lobby. Now he is facing new charges. The Police Say Following his highprofile arrest last week, another woman has now come forward. Saying that his photo, that he attacked her with a knife when she was waiting for right your earlier this year. The victim said that she was a victim of an attack by mr. Vincent back in february. Are the judge did not order him to go to jail last week. But she did schedule a court date for today. San Francisco Police made arrangements to arrest him on the new charge. We monitored mr. Vincent. We knew that he was any treatment program. We knew his location. We spoke with the public defender. There was an agreement that he would turn himself in this morning. A 200 bed center would be on evans avenue in what is currently a caltrans parking lot. If approved, this would be San Franciscos seventh navigation sitter. In a statement the mayor says that the city needs more shelters because there are too many people suffering. The city of fremont is deciding where to put their first homeless Navigation Center. At a recent meeting the city presented two possible sites. One is on surplus City Property along dakota road. The other is behind city hall. This afternoon, the police chief said that the center will be modeled after navigation sitter in berkeley. That helped get people off of the streets in the area. Half of those first beds, we are going to be recruiting from the immediate area. A president is worried about fire danger and they are blaming the neighbor for not properly securing things. Folks are wanting the winery to express the fire danger. Many living just outside of sonoma dont think the neighboring vineyard is very neighborly when it comes to the dry grasses. They have done just what the law allows.
