Vallejo School District facing millions of dollars in budget cuts and tonight, school remembers are expected to make the first round of job cuts during a special meeting. The District Needs to cut 8 million from the upcoming budget. According to the vallejo timetable, trustees will be asked to eliminate dozens of jobs for savings of 4. 3 million. The biggest cut will be in teaching jobs. The district plans to get rid of 32 spots. They say they may not need to let anyone go. There may be enough retirees and resignations at the end of the year. Hayward police are asking for help after arresting a convicted sex offender accused of posing as a youth basketball coach. Police arrested Melvin Fleming after being alerted by the parents of a young basketball player at mount eaton high school. Fleming offers get their son private basketball blessings telling the parents his name was melvin allen. The parents Say Something about him made them suspicious and they decided to do some research. We ended up coming home and doing an internet search of this person and found that he was, in fact, Melvin Fleming and he was a convicted sex offender. Police say fleming did not do anything to the boy but should never be around children. Hayward police want anyone else who may have been contacted by fleming to let them know. A bay area belly teacher was arrested on suspicion of Sexual Assault of a child. San mateo county Authorities Say 54yearold, Viktor Kabaniaev , was arrested in san mateo on friday at his home. Russia cuter say the crimes occurred in Contra Costa County where the suspect was associated with several different schools. The victim was under the age of 14. Now the california is ground zero for recreational cannabis, some people will likely be trying edibles for the first time but these products arent for everyone and taking the right amount is key. But ktvu found not every dispensary is keeping up with the proper labeling laws.
