Any information tonight about an arrest in the case of Sexual Assault at a south bay middle school. Tonight a 23yearold man is behind bars accused of attacking a teacher inside her own classroom. San jose police say they made the arrest in San Francisco last night. Ktvus jesse gary tells us more about the suspect and his criminal past. Reporter police say 23 yearold Andrew Bracamonte lives about a quarter mile from the Harker Middle School campus. Early Tuesday Morning, Surveillance Video allegedly shows him prowling the hall before trapping a teacher in her classroom. For a teacher to have the diligence to be inside her classroom early to get her work done, theres absolutely nothing she did wrong. Reporter investigators say bracamonte locked the door, sexually assaulted the victim, stole her cell phone and wallet and told her he would shoot her if she left the room. The victim provided details of the crime to a team of 50 officers investigating the case. I dont think anyone can imagine what this victim went through. Just to be able to cooperate with the police and give us a detailed segment of the horror she must have felt is just i dont know, i cant even put it into words. Reporter investigators say bracamonte has an extensive criminal history for crimes including assault, sex with a miner. After tuesdays Sexual Assault and robbery, police say bracamonte headed to santa clara, where he committed another crime at a liquor store. By thursday, with attention to the crimes growing, chief garcia says the suspect was trying to cut a deal for his surrender. Surrendering when we were about to arrest you, doesnt really, you know, make us change the manner which were doing. I mean, the suspect didnt give the victim a choice. We certainly were not going to allow this suspect to dictate how we were going to take him into custody. School administrators said he expressed gratitude for the hard work of the San Jose Police department. The chronicle says that eight former employees of four girl coffee have accused the cofounder of sexual misconduct. The women filed a lawsuit today and detailed incidents including him assaulting one of them in a hotel room and grabbing another former employee by the neck. Three women have come forward accusing filmmaker paul hagas of Sexual Assault and rape. One. Women says she was raped by him known for producing best picture winner crash. The other two say they were able to escape his advances. Accusations come just weeks after he was accused of rape in 2013. He denies all the allegations. Im terrified. Not sure if were targeted specifically or if this was just a random prank and just confused. Reporter police say just before midnight, two days after christmas they received an emergency call. Heard shots, his mother was screaming and that he was hiding. And then he kept saying that he heard noise, that he heard noises and then he whispered to the operate that theyre coming and then the operator heard a scream. Reporter the caller gave the address of this home. Inside were parents, grandparents and two young children. Police from hercules and pinole responded here and ordered them out of the house, guns drawn. I have guns pointed at my face, my son has guns pointed at his face. Were walking slowly. And the police apprehended us and im asking, whats going on . Reporter the husband came out in his bathrobe but wouldnt comply with an officers request to open his robe. He didnt want to make any sudden moves. I was afraid of getting shot for being an innocent man in his home. Reporter officers handcuffed the father and grandfather while they searched the house. Police found nothing and left the family back inside. But the Family Says Police never identified themselves initially and that led to their fear. Police, too, were victims of what appears to be swatting. Swatting is when a caller purposely calls in a hoax often requiring a police s. W. A. T. Team to respond. Today was sentencing day for three Santa Clara County jail guards charged with the deadly beating of an inmate. The judge handed down the maximum sentence allowed. Reporter three former jail guards, matthew farris, Rafael Rodriguez and jereh lubin have been sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison. It was the harshest of the penalties the judge could have imposed. The men were convicted of beating a mentally ill inmate to death inside the Santa Clara County jail. Michael tyree was found bruised and bloodied on the floor of his cell in august of 2015. This is not a happy day for Law Enforcement. Far from it. Because these three jail guards whose job it was to oversee the correctional system will now be imprisoned within it. However, it is a just day. Reporter sheriff laurie smith who oversees the jail agrees. I think it was fair. A man was murdered at the hands of these three and i think that they are held accountable for their actions. Reporter the guards relatives cried in court. Many of them had written letters to the judge asking for leniency. But a letter from michael tyrees sister was the only one read aloud. She spoke about the quote, life sentence she received with the news of michaels death and how the guards were accountable for that. Two years ago, when these three jail guards broke michael tyrees body, they also broke the publics trust. And we have to work every day to rebuild and earn the trust the public gives us. Reporter the sheriff says the department has been working hard to make reforms at the jail. Theres a new use of force policy. And new training. There are also additional cameras both at the jail and bodyworn on the correctional officers. The message is clear. We know what a crime s i dont think this was at all representative of the fine men and women that work here. The guards will likely be held in some sort of protective custody, not in the general prison population. They will eventually be eligible for parole. Ann rubin, ktvu fox 2 news. The widow of the gunman in the orlando nightclub attack told the fbi she knew her husband was going to do something bad before the shooting. She is going to be charged. In a 12page written confession salman said she was with omar mateen when he scouted the nightclub in orlando. She said she knew that night he was going to attack the nightclub. 49 people died in the mass shooting and in a Pretrial Hearing today, the judge ruled an expert in forced confessions will be allowed to testify. A north Bay Community in shock tonight after a man broke into a familys home and sexually assaulted and 8year old all while the childs mother was asleep in another room. Police say holland went into the childs room, took off his clothes and climbed on top of her while she was asleep. The childs Mother Told Police that once her 8yearold daughter woke up, she screamed. Holland then ran from the house leaving his clothes and identification behind. You cannot hit the vegas strip flat with a losing team. So they are definitely going to make a splash and jon gruden will be officially introduced to the media here in the bay area on tuesday. Dont have a time yet. But its official and its also going to make him the highest paid coach in history. About 100 million in 10 years and its reported that his coordinators are going to get fouryear deals. Sources say two years in oakland, two in vegas and they too will be highly compensated. The 10year contract in itself not only the highest paid but the longest. Thats just unheard of. Im sure you mentioned this earlier, frank, a lot of coaches around the league. They are applauding. They like it. Raiders record since they got rid of gruden in the first place, is the second worst to cleveland of any team in the nfl. So they are back with jon gruden a 16year absence returning to the same team. Meantime, a lot of questions concerning it like who will be the assistant coaches, all those things. But how much power, how much control, will jon gruden have . Reggie mckenzie, the general manager, is he out . Apparently not. With all due credit he assembled a fine roster. Not his fault that the Coaching Staff couldnt turn it into a winner consistently but in good enough stead with mark davis and the rest of the Oakland Organization that he actually turned down a chance to interview with the Green Bay Packers for their vacant general manager position. Interesting to note, Reggie Mackenzie spent 18 years with the packers before the raiders hired him. So he probably has a special place in his heart for the packers. But he decides not to apply for that job. Meantime, the sharks figure they would be a little tired worse for wear after taking care of business in toronto.
