Being forced out of their homes and some of the centers, as weve been reporting, ellie ms. Was, that center full. Right now we want to check in with ktvus allie rasmus. Tell us where you are and what youre seeing. Okay. We might have lost allie. She is headed into the area, hopefully checking on some of the evacuees as well. Shes still on the move. Well get back to allie rasm,s as soon as we can. What were going to try to do now is talk to the busiest person in our studio now, is steve co,lson. Im getting information. Im trying to get this out on social media. Well get there and people from santa rosa sending information and pictures. Just hard to believe. Lets get to it here. Also up in clear lake oaks. I know theres let me get this, because Clear Lake Park estates. Thats what i want to say. Thank you, chloe for that. The wind as well northeast, east for most or northeast. Humidity very low. Its in the teens for many. Not only there, but also into napa county. Youre not seeing any relief yet. Its a north, northeast breeze for a lot of these. And the temperatures are just really warm. North of nevada, north of fairfield, northeast concord, north of davis, north of fairfield and also oakland. Thats the problem. We have the strong north wind. So temperatures are really held up. A lot of 60s on these temps. The red flag warning will go until tomorrow morning at 5 00 a. M. At least. Theres still going to be gusts, but the wind advisory takes us through 11 00. We may update that and extend it a bit. After about the noon hour, i would think things would start to decrease as the system responsible, it dug in to the inner mountain region, starts to move out. Very hazy, smoky skies, highs 70s and 80s. Sal, you have too many road closures to mention. Where would you like to start . Were going to do some of it major ones. Near santa rosa, highway 101 is closed between river road and shiloh. Northbound 101 slows at the closure of bicentennial. Another closure were talking about, very significant, highway 107 shut town completely weaved avado and vallejo. Highway 12 is closed between wotma and highway 121, and a lot of closures, portions of highway 29 are closed. We also do have a lot of slow traffic in these areas because of emergency vehicles and evacuation traffic. Interstate 80 is slow through vallejo this morning. We have been looking at some of the other commutes throughout the area, and you can see that 80 is going to be slow getting to the carquinez bridge. Driving from the east shore freeway to the mac car thundershower martinez, its about a 23minute delay. At the bay bridge, a normal delay. A lot of smoke here. Thats not fog. Thats fog. We just want to let people know, we just heard from many people who heard or saw the fire in berkeley, there was a fire in berkeley. It is out at this point. The smoke that you are smelling over there is most likely from these fires up in snow ma and napa counties. I understand we have ktvus allie rasmus. Can you hear us, allie . Okay. Great. Tell us where you are and what youre seeing. We just crossed over into napa. Were on highway 29. As we were driving in about 9 miles away, you can see ash falling as the air was incredibly smoky and hazy. That smell of fire that you mentioned people are really smelling through the bay area is definitely more intense as we get closer to napa, and its still incredibly windy. You can see the flags just flapping in the wind. It disyou an idea the conditions firefighters are face. We dont know how many structures have burned, but the area we have video to show you. This video is taken from surrounding the Silverado Country Club in arvado. Weve seen several cars and structures burning in that residential area. We dont have an exact count. We know some structures have burned. Officials started putting up the first Evacuation Orders about 5 hours ago. The latest mandatory evacuation of the Wooden Valley road area, people who live in that area are being told to evacuate to salano county, the sa lano parking lot out in fairfield. Napa county officials have set up an Evacuation Center at the Crosswalk Community church. That center is full. About 5 this morning, an hour ago, officials opened up the napa county college gym as a separate evacuation area. We actually drove past it a short time ago, and the parking lot was completely full. You could see several course trailers in the back of the parking lot as folks adultly heeding the urgent warnings being put out by emergency officials, if there are affected areas, to get out. Because with the strong winds were experiencing up here, the fire can change direction at any time. So theres a lot of people directly impacted by this. Allie, its 6 06 in the morning. Youre driving, youre on the move. How is it moving around . Are you able to get around . Is there a lot of traffic out there . What do you see . Reporter well, the direction were going into napa, theres not very much traffic at all. There was quite a bit of traffic for people coming out of napa, maybe some folks who are evacuating and dont want to stay in the area, maybe have other places to go, family, friends, they can stay outside of the napa area. You have other regular morning commute traffic as well. So getting to where were going, we havent had any problems. Came. And tell us again where you are going to be headed, and well check in with you we know were going to get an update you in just a little bit. Were hoping to get as close as we can safely to the sill rather rad doe country club, the area where we have seen some structures have burned and where a lot of the people who live nearby have been helped to evacuate several hours ago. Were pulling up on. 121 toward lake variera, and you can see some of the roads are closed. Were going to try to reroute and figure out a way to wherever were going. Well definitely have updates throughout the morning. Okay, allie, you guys, be safe as you make your way around the area there. Of course, as she mentioned, many roads are closed. Yes. The visibility is very tough as well. Yeah. Just getting word as were getting ready to go to alex savage. The schools are closed. In addition schools in santa rosa, all the schools in the napa Valley School districts are closed as well. Lets go the evacuation incident cent is concern in napa valley. One set up at crosswalk church. It is now full. Theres an Evacuation Center at the napa valley fair grounds. A third Evacuation Center has been opened at the Napa Valley College gym. Okay. We do know a couple Evacuation Centers have been opened. We want to check in with alex savage. You were over at Kaiser Hospital. Another very alarming situation as theyve had to evacuate. And now youre right near the flames. Reporter well, yeah. And we didnt go very far, from the last spot. We were at the emergency room at Kaiser Hospital. We came over here, now standing on top of one of the parking structures here at Kaiser Hospital. We are looking down here on what was journeys and Mobile Home Park. As you look down here, you can see much of this mobile Home Community has been destroyed by fire that is still applicant tvly burning in many spots. You have firefighters down there. We can see them putting water on some of these structures here. But obviously you are going to lose a lot of homes. I want to bring kind enough to come up and join us this morning. Jonathan cox, how many homes have we lost . We dont have an exact number of homes. Its numerous homes. Its a confirmed 20,000 acre fire now. Just explosive growth overnight. We also do know we have confirmed numerous civilian injuries. We dont know the degree or extent of those injuries. Were trying to assess and get that information. We do know theres numerous injuries. Reporter how did people get hurt . I cant speculate on how it happened, but we can confirm that during this first phase, we have had some injuries youre dealing with this is one large fire that swept in from the east side of santa rosa or multiple fires that have burned in different areas. This is one of several large fires in the snow ma napa area. This fire exploded. This fire was 200 acres last night, now at 20,000 acres. This is the type of fire that is winddriven and pushed so far firefighters, really all they can do is get ahead, evacuate people, and get them out. That is our numberone priority now. Reporter do you feel youve got everybody turning to eds Mobile Home Park off of mendoc,no avenue for anyone who knows this area, do you feel everybody got out of here safely . I cant speculate who got out of where specifically. The front is massive. The fire front has come through this area. Its affecting other areas now, and now we go back and make sure that we really put every piece out, every flame out. This is early stages. Were still saving lives at the moment, and making stands where we can. This thing is just growing rapidly with this wind event and the multiple fires we have. Reporter with that being said, where is the fire headed now . If you think about it, the fire is impacting kind of the nearby corner of santa rosa now. Its jumped highway 101. So were confirmed there are structures being damaged or destroyed on the west side of 101, some large commercial structures, Industrial Areas are also being affected by this fire. Really just the sheer force of this firefront now is really challenging. Reporter and with oar going to have these, you know, strong winds, dry conditions throughout the day today. You need help. I know you do. Are you getting the help that you need from across the region, from across the state . Yeah. So our incident commanders and unified commanders are putting in large resources orders. We have agencies all over Northern California now. This is the type of event, fire season where its all hands on deck. This is one of, you know, 6 or 7 in the area fires. This will call for every person in every agency to get on the fire line. And its really kind of an unprecedented event. Reporter for people in this area, maybe they havent received a specific Evacuation Order where they live just yet, what would be your advice to People Living in the santa rosa area . My advice is this this thing is growing so large and greg so quickly, if people feel like theyre in danger, to get out quickly. If they get a knock on the door or pa from a Police Officer or firefighter, its no joke. Its not a time to think twice or make a defense of yourself get out. This fire is no joke. This fire is pushing through and really causing havoc and damage, and we can just not reiterate enough that people have got to get out of its way. Reporter jonathan cox, kind enough to take a couple minutes live on 2. Thank you so much for the work you guys are doing here. Theyre in the midst of this firefight. You can obviously see that, you guys, as you look down here. This is journeys end Mobile Home Park that we are watching burn here behind us. This is on the backside, the north side of Kaiser Hospital, which has now been nearly almost completely evacuated. I think they should be almost fin wished the evacuation process there. As you heard from the battalion chief, this fire is actively moving through the city of santa rosa. A lot of people being evacuated or could be evacuated in the very near future. Al, two things. Number one, are you guys safe . Do you feel safe where you are . Its obviously very intense next to you. Reporter . Were on the top level, third floor or so of this parking structure on the grounds of the skieser hospital facility. So were looking back over to where this fire is. Yeah, no. We feel relatively safe, ill say that. We came up here to give you guys a vantage upon the to see what is actively burning. This is a few hundred yards away, maybe not even, to kaisers property. Maybe youre youre probably talking about a hundred yards or so until you reach kaiser property. Hence the reason that we saw them immediately and very quickly and orderly, i should say, evacuate all of the patients, doctors, and Staff Members, doctors, nurses, and Staff Members from skieser hospital this morning. Good news that you said its almost completely evacuated. Have you been able to find out where those patients are being taken so that if someone wants to know . Yeah. Its a were of places. It sounds like thats a sort of fluid situation. We understand many of those patients, the less critical patients are going to drive them a little further down to kaiser in san rafael. And with do understand that at the Veterans Memorial building in downtown santa rosa, theyre creating sort of a makeshift hospital where they may be taking some of the more critical patients. All right. All right. Alex what is it like there . Because i know weve talked about the winds, and you were seeing embers blowing. Sounds like its pretty intense weather. Reporter yeah. Its quite door its quite smoky. We have large embers, large pieces of ash, i should say, that are continuing to fall down on us. At this moment in time, theres a decent breeze. Its not its not incredibly windy at this particular moment in time. We know things are fluid, that can change, you know, in an instability. You get some of these big gusts that can larry this time. Were on the east side of highway 101. The fire came from the east, came down from the hills in the east, swept from the northeast part of santa rosa. Because of those strong winds, the fire basically [ audibly indicating ] just jumped from the east side of 101, only a natural firebreak jumped all the way over to the west side, where we just heard the battalion chief describe they now have a number of buildings, structures, large commercial buildings that are burning as we speak on the west side of highway 101. Now, we know theyre call where you are the, the,bbs fire between santa rosa and calesoga. We can see this is a Mobile Home Park thats on fire. Can you estimate how close this is to the hospital itself . How close is it . Reporter i would say its a hundred yards to the property itself, several hundred yards to the main hospital building. And ill i was just going to grab the battalion chief. Hes about to speak with another station here, so i wont bug him. I was going to ask him if he knew whether the hospital had been evacuated entirely. At last check, they basically had 95 of the people, the patients inside cueser hospital evacuated. You can obviously see why. We should point out a second hospital, sutter hospital, which is 1 exit north on highway 101, so basically just north of where were looking now, s,tter hospital also evacuated as well along with Kaiser Hospital. All right. And, alex, you mentioned thats right behind them, that mobile park. We hope and pray everyone made it out of that Mobile Home Park okay. Reporter they know they already have confirmed there have been people hurt in this fire. It could also be people that were possibly burned by the fire itself. People have been hurt as a result of this mass iwinddriven fire sweeping through the city of santa rosa. I dont know if you can confirm. Did i hear correctly that the fire spokesperson said 20,000 acres just for this particular fire . Reporter just for this particular fire here. It started east of here in the hills east of santa rosa. My understanding is it may have started even over into napa county, and then moved this particular fire moved west through the hills, and then just just quickly worked its way down into the city of san ta rosa before people knew what kind of hit them overnight. This fire was down into town, and was burning through homes and buildings. And that bringses to reiterate what he just told you. Dont wait. If you feel it is moving anywhere near, get out. Dont wait. Reporter yeah, because obviously the authorities, the fire officials, the sheriffs department, theyre doing the best they can to get Evacuation Orders out to people in a timely manner; but you know, there could be some delay. There could be some delay getting you that official Evacuation Order or that official knock on your door. So with that being said, if you see Something Like this that is close to your home, close to where you live, i would start getting the things all packed up and be ready to go. And i think we also need to reiterate we can see how intense the flames are where you are. We need to talk about how strong the winds have been. We saw them coming in. Reporter yeah. But youve been out of there for a um couple of hours. Reporter just as we were talking now, you could feel the winds pick up a little bit. You could feel the stronger gusts. Its always hard to judge. Steve can talk specific numbers about what the gusts are that were seeing up in this area. Certainly theres a steady breeze. We are feeling stronger wind gusts, which is the concern, and thats whats driving this fire. You know, fire crews are trying to stay ahead of this thing, but its not easy. All right. Alex savage, you be careful, too. Well keep checking back with you. Reporter yeah. In napa, the Evacuation Center at crosswalk chunk is filled. We want to it will you about some of the other Evacuation Centers. Theres an Evacuation Center at the napa county fairgrounds of north of course street in calestoga. Another center opened at the Napa Valley College gym. Just getting tweets as well. Thank you so much to everyone. Send us information on twitter as well. Patricia says the Mackenzie Center at mcdowel and petal,ma is at capacity, one of our viewers filling in there. Several Evacuation Centers are opening up in snow ma county. Heres a list of some of those that we know. The gas coreville community center, the Emily High School gym. Theres a relief shelter at the cloverdale citres fair and snow ma valley high school, speaking of some of the schools, we are getting word we had heard Cardinal Newman high school may have burn. Now were hearing homes around it burned. The high school might just be damaged, but still trying to get some of that information for you. But we do know santa rosa schools are closed. Napa schools are closed. Most schools in the broader area. If you dont need to get out, theres probably a good time to keep the kids home. Lets check back with red cross, very busy. Cynthia shaw of the red cross. Can you hear me now . Yes, i can. You were kind enough to talk to us earlier. Bring us up to date. What are you seeing now and the people youre helping . So the red cross has seven shelters across four counties that are open. We are mobilizing additional volunteers and resources to come into the north bay area, but with the road closures and so forth, taking a little longer than with would like, but we are getting these getting materials to everybody as quickly as we can. Many are shell shocked. Many have left with the clothes on their back. Really trying to provide that safe space for the evacuees as they kind of come to grips on whats going on and await information about their homes. At this point, it must be a very fluid situation, because were seeing the fire move into some of these areas where you probably originally had Evacuation Centers, are there some centers that are now going to have to evacuate and move as well as this fire moves and expands . You know, we work very closely with fire and Emergency Managers to determine locations and keep everybody safe. So right now we have fluid situations. Were currently talking with them to know what to do. We have a number of volunteers red cross volunteers who are personally affected who themselves have had to evacuate and may not be available to support others while theyre taking care of their own families. So it is a fluid situation. All agencies are coming together, working together to provide care for those impacted. Is there a particular teak the red cross uses to keep people calm in a situation as fluid as this. You know, really in a situation like this, its listening. Its being present. People react to these situations in a variety of different ways. Some people are very, motive. Some people are quiet. Some people want to talk. Some people want to be left alone. We train with volunteers on just how to be present and to adjust to the situation that that person is in. Because everybody is going to be at a different place, have different reaction to this kind of stress. What about the smoke and there are so many people who are probably going to have some breathing issues . I mean, we can feel it all the way here in our studio i cant imagine close to the fire. Whack people do about that . We encourage people as much as possible to stay indoors especially if you have respiratory conditions. Close your windows. Make sure that your ac or anything car in your home are not recirculating outside air, but staying just inside air. And then just be aware, if you start feeling burning sensations or and theres a list of these things from the county Public Health department, you start feeting symptoms, you should definitely reach out to your medical professional. Are you accepting donations of any kind, clothing, financial, any kind . Right now were very much focused on shelters, getting people safe places, out of harms way. We can do this because of the generosity of people have made in the past to the red cross. We already have cots that need to be moved to the right shelters. Thats a how were able to respond to those financial donations. Okay. We do have a number of people asking across the country, who have lived here in the bay area and were hearing from them on facebook and twitter of how they can help. So i would imagine we see some of these disasters, and people want to send clothing and food, and i imagine the best thing they can to at this point is just to send a cash donation to the red cross that that money can be used, pause these people are going to go out of their homes, going to need help. I know youre addressing the immediate issue, but theyre going to need help quite some time. Correct. Right now we want to stabilize the current situation. Then we will look at the long term needs. How long do you prepare to keep centers. Cynthia shaw of the red cross. Thank you for talking with us now. We look forward to talking to you again. We will continue to update the situation with the shelters. We appreciate all the information we are getting from all of you here into our newsroom as well to help everybody else out there. Alex savage is in the santa rosa area. Alex rasmus is headed into the napa area. We have Leigh Martinez as well. We will continue our fire coverage throughout the morning. Stay with us. Well take a quick break, and well be right back. Hey, guys. Where are the cookies for the. Bake sale . Bake. Bake sale . Need to bake in a hurry . Use new country crock buttery sticks with sunflower oil. Theres no softening required. So baking is delicious and easy. Ooh, cookies ah, ah, ah laughter nows Evacuation Centers are set up in both counties. Many people have found shelter at Napa Valley College along with calestoga fairgrounds. The evacuation at Crosswalk Community church, by the way, is filled. There are other fires burning in lake butte, and,uba counties. The smoke is being seen and being boothed in all around the bay area. Officials reminding everybody try not to breathe in smoke if you can pebbly avoid it. Keep your windows closed. The woman from the red cross, cynthia shaw, had some good advice about recirculating the within your car rather than pulling air from the outside. You can get live updates through the day on your phone. Download that ktvu news app. We will be sending breaking news, alerts, streaming videos there as well as on our web site, ktvu. Com. You can also follow us on facebook and twitter. We ore getting such great information from all of our viewers and facebook and twitter. Patricia telling us and steve, you just heard this as well. Theyre hearing all the petal,ma city schools are closed. Its probably prudent to close most of the schools in the area, keep people off the roads. People can get the information from glenn ellen. Im not hearing good things from there either. If you know whos going on around glenn ellen. Whats happening santa rosa, north santa rosa is hard to believe. Take a look at the information. The humidity is so low, well take a look. This is from hopper avenue. Unbelievable. From kent porter, whos with the Santa Rosa Press democrat, and he also i saw a photo from him around glenn ellen with some homes burning. Thats not confirmed yet, but hes from the san the, areosa press democrat, so i and the to believe hes probably right on that. Amazing whos going on. We mentioned this already, but all the napa valley unified School Districts are closed as well. We just mentioned petaluma. Clear lake park, 1,200 acres have been burned. Theres also north of ucaya Redwood Valley and potter valley. Major fire up there as well. With all these fires and a strong north wind, thats why youre smelling smoke. Im getting reports of people smelling it on bart. Its coming down out of the north, northeast. Napa, you get 50s, 6 0s. Look at the humidity. 15 , 14 . Looks like the breeze has been tailing off a little bit. Atlas peak, 32 Miles Per Hour. It was much stronger, it seems, about an hour, 2 hours ago, but still davis, 30 Miles Per Hour fairfield 37. Santa rosa, 12 to 18. Thats come down a little bit. So theres still pretty good north wind direction. Look at the temps. Most are in the 6 0s. There are a few 0s, but there are a lot of 6 0s. I think we lost the observations. I think they ear gone. Redwood the red flag warning continues until tomorrow morning. Now, fire danger will continue to be high. The wind will decrease later today. The wind advisory until 7 00. Theyre still gusting some of the higher elevations. The system thats responsible for it is now pretty much in salt lake city. So its sunny, hazy, smock i can skies today. So highs will be in the 80s for just about everybody. Burning near the dotting town mall. That is unbelievable. As you mentioned, it is concrete. And then over towards coffee lane, and then back over which is unbelievable it made it that far. When you get a gust 30 Miles Per Hour taking those embers, it can happen. Are those the winds supposed to pick up . Die down . Theyre supposed to decrease. What were you hearing about the Charles Schultz. I just know the Charles Schultz museum is right near there. Thats a pretty wooded area near there. Not coting town. We are just hoping and praying right now. What do you have . This is roughly where he was, which is why the closers are there. We were talking about how the fire was so intense in this area that it actually crossed the highway. At that point, they closed the highway, but froms plenty of slow traffic. Even in areas where the highway is not closed. This is not the time to be on on the road if you can possibly avoid it. Were also looking at a lot of road closures a little farther south. Highway 37 is shut down between avado, highway 101, all the way out to vallejo, interstate 80. A good portion of highway 101 and 12 are closed in the area. Too many individual closures to mention, but i will say that the authorities have asked you to stay off the roads unless it is absolutely necessary to be in the area, and smart Train Service has been canceled completely because of the smoke and poor visibility. Smart train is not going. So this area is impacted by all the slow traffic and by the smoke. We are looking at interstate 80. A lot of people are on 80 this morning between the carquinez bridge and the maze. People are using the Richmond Bridge to get into maren. They cannot use 37. We have a big crowd of people on 80 trying to get to the bridgeton bridge, because 37 is out of commission. At the bay bridge toll plaza, 20, 25minute delay. Looks like a normal monday because of the smoke. Thats not fog. Thats smoke pouring into the area from the north bay fires. 6 36, lets go back to dave. All right, sal. Thank you. Well, the wildfires forced mad evacuations in santa rosa, as weve been telling you. That includes two hospitals. Earlier this hour, we learned about this fire that has burned more than 20,000 acres in that santa rosa area. Near the Kaiser Hospital there. There was also the southern hospital nearby and a Mobile Home Park, completely lost. Thats right behind ktvus alex savage, who has been out there this morning, watching. Were you able to get word . Were they able to get everybody out of that Kaiser Hospital . Reporter you know what . I dont have the official word everyone was evacuated. They were close to having all of the patients out of that hospital. We sort of location. I dont have an official word. I think the hospital should be fully evacuated or very close to it at this time. We were on the roof of one of the structures here at the hospital. We ore looking north from the hospital. This is just behind the hospital. What youre looking at here is the journeys end Mobile Home Park, which as you can see, was destroyed by fire. Nearly every one of the homes here in this Community Just lived as this fire swept through here during the overnight hours here, rank see firefighters here still trying to put some of these fires out. But there are many, many homes, as you can tell, that have been lost here because of this fire. We just got word a short ago from the battalion chief who confirmed this fire, just this fire alone we know there are many fires burning. Just this fire in the city of santa rosa is 20,000 acres. Ans a tonnishing number for a fire that started late last night. Over the hills east of here in napa county is where it started. I believe he said, the,bbs lane. It exploded in size with these conditions, the high winds, dry conditions. The fire was drawn by those winds. It swept west, and just moved down quickly into the northeast part of santa rosa, and this is what is left behind. This fire, we should point out, is still on the move. We pointed this out a short time ago. Were right next to highway 101. Were right on the east side of highway 101. Thats the live pictures youre looking at where this Mobile Home Park is. The fire jumped over highway 101. Obviously what would be a natural fire break, and it jumped the freeway, and it is actively burning now, we know on the west side of the freeway. I just got word theres a Major Shopping Center that includes a kmart thats just i dont have the exact address to give you, but i just saw the video of this. Theres a Major Shopping Center that is on fire now that has been destroyed. Okay. You saw well try to get more information. You saw the video of that. I think thats cotting town mall. Reporter okay. Is that what steve was talking about earlier . I think i heard some of you guys talking about that earlier. So you did see the video . Absolutely. I dont know that every you know, every building in that Shopping Center is gone, but theres a massive fire thats burning at that Shopping Center. Were going to try to get you some of those images here shortly. That, as we pointed out, is on the west side of highway 101. This fire is still moving in that westerly direction. It is still moving from east to west. Alex, im not sure who is your photographer, but he was zooming into, looks like, im hoping a water tank, and not some sort of fuel situation there, and i know earlier you heard explosions. What are you hearing now . A gas line on fire. Reporter that does lock like some kind of fuel in that. I can ask the battalion chief. It looks like we have a gas line on the righthand side. I dont know whats in that big container on the left side of your screen. Are you still hearing explosions . Reporter you know, were not as much anymore. Okay. Reporter yeah, before we moved over to this location, we were right outside the emergency room at kaiser, and we could hear some very large explosions coming from this Mobile Home Park. You know, alex, this would have been propane tanks, things that were exploding in this fire. Looks like you got a fuel line right there thats possibly on fire. Just want to point out reporter we should also i want to take you to some video of Kaiser Hospital to sort of backtrack and let people know the situation at Kaiser Hospital, which is right next door to these live pictures and this Mobile Home Park. The Kaiser Hospital, they started evacuating that hospital overnight, getting all of the patients either into ambulances or the less critical patients, they were putting them on to buses, and they have been in the process. The doctors, the nurses, the hospital staff, they were in the process of putting all those patients on buses or ambulances, and theyre taking them to other Kaiser Hospitals, or theyre trying to get them to a makeshift hospital that was set up at the Veterans Memorial building in downtown santa rosa. They moved all those patients. We believe they have most of those patients out of the hospital at this point. Kaiser hospital evacuated. Also we can point out that we should point out that sutter hospital, just north of here, off highway 101, also has been evacuated as well because of this fire. Just to reiterate some of what with oar seeing on television, cal fire said theyre focusing more on saving lives instead of fighting fires. Reporter what do you think that is . Gas line. Yeah, yeah. Hes checking on that. Reporter hey, you guys, the battalion chief. He does think thats got to be some sort of a gas line. Okay. Thats burning over there, so. All right. Alex reporter just checking on that. I the hit it bears repeating, too, when we talk about how quick this fire moved into this these communities. We do the battalion chief says there are people who have been injured in this fire. We dont know the extent of those injuries. We dont know how severe they are, or how there have been people who were hurt, and obviously right now, theyre trying to make sure no one else gets hurt. Fire crews at this point say its not as much about fighting the fire, numbers. Theyre trying to stay ahead of this thing, and theyre truly in lifesaving mode, trying to warn people in the path of this fire to get out. Okay. Thank you, alex for that update. Hes right there by the kaiser in santa rosa. You can see behind him. We know a complete Mobile Home Park was lost and a number of homes. We believe thats the cotingtown mall. Were hearing from some of our viewers that that mall caught fire, which has steve has been mentioning is so unbelievable. There are homes in that area that have burned. We want to update napa. Weve been showing you a lot of santa rosa. Allie rasmus is headed to that area. Many roads are closed in that area. The sillerer rad doe country club in that area is where she is trying to get to to get us an update.
