Well, 70s and 80s elsewhere. Nobodys quite getting to the 90s yet. Ill all right. Were back 9. 15, is the time as were checking the forecast or the quarter. It was a little cool over the weekend. Next few days are supposed to be not as cool, which is great have warming back up a Labor Day Weekend. Its kind of the last weekend or less travel weekend of summer, as people say, but it does not feel like summer. It was a cool one for sure. And way cooler than average. Remember last Labor Day Weekend last year, it was kind of a warm one. So this was different. But we are making our way back closer to those seasonal averages and certainly back into the sunshine. Look at this view just a moment ago in san jose with a spider on it. Hes gone now, but you still got the sun and that is something thats going to stay around the rest of the day unless youre at the coastline where we will see some passing clouds today. Big picture set up that low pressure area that resulted in the cool unsettled weekend. Its really on the outs now. And what we have ahead of us is a continuation of some relatively mild weather. Were certainly warming things up, but no major heat spikes ahead of us. And really the reason for that is the jet is still sending down some weak systems, our direction like that cold front just skirting right past the bay area. This is enough to keep amy high pressure. Ridge is from Building Back in the forecast and will keep us pretty steady. Kind of a Holding Pattern for the remainder of the week. As for our air quality also Holding Pattern of good conditions just the way we like it. So get outside today, especially early on or in the evening and enjoy those mild conditions. Youll feel that each of those times we do get hot this afternoon 60s for San Francisco, not so warm north the coastline, but elsewhere. We definitely do have some 70s to 80s just a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday. Is pretty seasonable for this time of year, september on average is the warmest time of year for the bay area and the certainly lives up to that, although not too terribly hot livermore. 86 degrees, hayward at 76 will open at 73 danville, pittsburg, antioch, and vacaville, all tied for how to spot today. Each at 87 degrees for your daytime highs. Getting a look ahead tomorrow. Thursday, friday, no change state just like today is about to lots of sun. 70s 80s across the board. Until you get to the coast where youll find your 60s into the next week is when well start to see some 90s getting just a little warmer, but nothing more than low 90s at the hottest right now. Im john, thank you for that. Check in on your bridges for you. 15 minutes heading into the city right now. Rob, hope you had a nice Labor Day Holiday weekend. Were coming back and im looking at the markets. Theyre off a little bit. So september, kind of start with a whimper. What you see. September to be a dramatic months in the stock markets. And it is a little bit of a wimp or higher oil prices. Saudi arabias cutting production are keeping lower production through the end of december. Chinas economy is not showing robust statistics, which says the worlds not really getting a lot from them, but theyre also not consuming a lot of china. Interest rates are done. Aggie, 4. 2 5 seems to work a little bit better when Interest Rates drift towards 4 those are the big stories of the day. So its kind of direction last which isnt it just feels kind of me, especially after big week last week. So were waiting on the federal waiting on some more news on the economy. I like where were at for the year. The nasdaq up over 35 . S and p 500 up over 15 . Thats a great years of note california. The hollywood strikes now cost over 5 billion dollars. So thats kind of hitting a lot of people in southern california, not just the actors and writers, but the caterers and the drivers in the dry cleaners and such. You know, its funny, too, because i saw this was one of the items you you might mention. So im hoping to do trip to europe now cost a little bit less. Ive been tracking a flight because im trying to plan a trip at some point in the future to rahm never been would love to see it. It told me that the price for the ticket that used to be 2000 is now like 800 something dollars. And i went ways that theres North Carolina conditions like these new airlines that are coming out. Theres cheaper travel to europe right now, which i found kind of surprising things behind that. Well, summer is over and i was the big revenge demand season for the u. S. Ca consumers to fly overseas and take pictures during can cappuccinos and rome. So as we were in the fall, we got back to school. We have other things to occupy us court of the holiday. So theres also some airline strikes that may happen in europes. Theyre selling 300 roundtrip tickets from new york to london. Your mission, 800 ticket i think thats a good thing. Its a little bit deflationary that should help the fed see that inflations not ramp and an out of control for ever and ever. If youre interested in europe now its time to book if youre to travel and you know the fall winter and spring. Right, worthy of note. Travel during those shoulder months. Alright, and lets talk a little bit about taylor swift, 19 89, 19. 89, 1989 the day, but her album 1989 the year of her birth. And thats how much youll pay. I guess to go see her on the big screen. Yeah. As an adult, this is really kind of cool story. And it just shows you how her she is in her family to kind of negotiate for her. So her concert in the u. S. Pulled in 4. 6 billion dollars in Economic Growth for the u. S. Thats a quick word about 35 countries have their gdp in the world amc made a deal with taylor swift to distribute the movie of the concert footage wrist. Its kind of documentaries. Thats not concert namesake basically. Stuck it to disney and universal who are typically the middlemen who get about 70 of the movies opening on the opening weekend. So amcs doing something kind of cool. Theyre sharing 43 of the openings with other movie theaters. 57 is being split between amc and taylor swifts family with can assist family getting the bulk of that. Amc will make a lot of money on the 14. 99. Popcorn collectors tub while the cups at 11. 99 collectors edition. But i dont, sir, going to be pain. You know, 1989 for a ticket, which is unheard its pricing that the government look into, but they wont because its not that kind of situation because the laws changed in am. But for children, 13 13, which is her lucky number twice im not quite a senior all throws a great my hair. I want to see just been really shows you how powerful she she shook up the u. S. Economy this Summer National shaking up the movie industry, which means theres a hollywood strike. Theyre not going to a lot of movies coming out of next year year and a half. And on top of it, theres you know, the postcovid getting staffers and getting people back movie theaters when were told not to go for 2 years. Hes been very difficult for the theater. So taylor swift i dont want to say lets vote for taylor for president , but she seems to be a really big Economic Force more ways than one force to be reckoned with for sure. Okay. And then lastly, one final story for you. My son just recently went to japan and reyna did as well. They both came back. I guess they went to the same restaurant or maybe its a style restaurant. You order and the food comes to conveyer belt. It arrives. You just take it out and eat it. And now im seeing that theyve got robot serving up drinks in vegas. Looks like a lot of these jobs are starting to get automated. You have this in your loser column. You dont see this as like a move forward in innovation. But a hit on the work for what . I think its a loser for. Yeah. Young people who want jobs in vegas coming out of college, you and me 25 years ago could vegas had a great time being bartenders and those jobs are being replaced as a Company Called tipsy they have 2 of them now, not one but 2 of them open in hollywood. Hard hard rock will serve the drinks. Theres one human that kind of helps the robots in case the temp over a drink or in case doesnt get filled up correctly. Right. But thats more of a service job in a bar tender job. Check in kiosks in vegas. Are there now. It said wait in line for a human to check a sandy, do it at a kiosk. Last time i went to vegas, i booked a restaurant through a chat bot through the hotel. Yeah. He said what type of food you want . What time do you need to make a reservation for miss the concierge jobs gone or food restaurants like put it on the road, not like a conveyor belt. But theres little robots will drive it to the table. 38 to 65 of all service jobs in vegas can go away by 2035, let me repeat. 38. 65 1 of all service jobs in vegas and they have unions are going to fight this. But its tough to like you say, fight when labor costs are so high and their staff shortages, everywhere you go. I want restaurant this weekend and they didnt have enough waiters, waiters and the restaurants, half full. But it wouldnt hold before they were able to staff properly. Interest said, ok, rob, thank you as always. Well chat with rob again tomorrow. Let them know if theres a topic or a company. You want to talk about facebook, twitter, you got his handles there. You can reach out. He always sent email to that. Rob at well, there are new requirements now in effect for the supplemental nutrition assistance program. Great. Nice and mild, john. The good morning. Its a little clearer than it was yesterday for a lot of us. Weve got a little bit of low cloud over spots like San Francisco. But even that is starting to clear up a bit, you can actually see some of those low clouds from above in this mountain view, looking down into the bay that blanket of clouds pretty evidence from above. But we are going to see clearing out more and more this low stratus. You can see it on satellite and radar, especially right up along the coastline. Couple of pockets up in the north bay inland areas, though youve got all that sunshine, even most of the bay shore at this point sitting anderson as well. Current temperatures in the 60s great morning to walk the dog on the jogger. If you just got to get out the door as it is tuesday after labor day and get back to work, not a bad forecast for it later on today. We do get a little bit warmer than yesterday, but staying in the 80s at the very warm us. Nobody getting up to 90 today. Ill have your full breakdown in the forecast to come, all right, john, thank you for that. Lets check on those bridges for you on a tuesday. The total cost is going to be less than 50 with walgreens selling it for 44 99 this week, some however, argue that that price point is a bit too high and could be out of reach for those who actually need the product. Preliminary reports from the Health Department show that there were 346 Overdose Deaths in San Francisco alone this year for the first 5 months. And despite the cost of the brand used most to reverses overdoses is nor can, however the fda has greenlit a competitor competing drug excuse me, which is expected to hit the store shelves at some point next year.
