Felt like fall this past weekend. It did not feel like the last weekend of the Summer Travel season, but we are still technically in summer and we are looking at the forecast that feels a lot more like that in the days ahead of us. What weve got out there right now is a bit of a clear start that we had at this time yesterday. Quite sour. Looks pretty good. We do have a few low clouds and a push in across the bay. But not near as much. Fog is what we had at the same point yesterday that low pressure area brought us the unsettled in cool weekend. Its on the outs now bringing all that unsettled weather away with it. Were still in the midst of a nice little dip in the jet stream, though, sodus the relatively mild conditions continue. This is unseasonably because at this time of year, typically youll have your High Pressure ridge building in very strong. And as you know, late summer early fall, we can get those really hot offshore winds. We have not had that in this forecast, which is actually great news because that would up fire danger. To the contrary, we have a little cold front up here. All its going to do is slide right past the region. Keep things moderated and keep things pretty good. As far as air quality goes to without that High Pressure ridge in place will continue to enjoy some pretty solid breathing conditions out there. So good excuse to get back outside today. Its a lot of 60s and San Francisco as well as at the coastline and then some 70s along the bayshore burlingame at 78 degrees today. Same for foster city, palo alto and Mountain View at 79 south bay temps, mostly in low 80s today and for the east bay, a range of 70s along the bay shore to some mid to upper 80s that are very warmest inland, danville, antioch, vacaville, youre our warm spots today. 87 along with pittsburgh sharing that same number rosa at 83 today. And looking ahead, not a lot of changes going on here. We do barely reach the low 90s by the start of next week. But in the meantime, we are in a Holding Pattern, abundant sunshine unimpeded by a lot of cloud cover. And besides cities, mostly in the 70s in this forecast. So pretty seasonable stuff all in all and a Holding Pattern of weather that is pretty enjoyable to keep the shorts and the tshirts on hand rain. All right, john, thank you for lets check on your morning drive. The meteor lights are on at the bay bridge toll plaza there. 15 minutes and into the city. But a guy like nick bosa that allows for a gamechanging plays. And so we dont know how many of those gamechanging plays that we make, but hopefully we can for those in if hes not here in his but a guy like nick, he has to that. Capitol correspondent Eytan Wallace has that story. Drinking and driving really inexcusable, especially for an elected official. Thats the message republican assemblymember billa say lee hopes to sent to fellow lawmakers with his proposal. Hr 51 should go into effect. Any member of the assembly who is arrested and charged with dui loose, a privilege to operate whats known as a pool vehicle. A government perk provided to lawmakers to help them easily get from place to place in sacramento. Most people dont even know we get a taxpayer funded car. Its a state vehicle. The state pays the tax. The state pays the gas for the car take care of it. And i think thats a privilege. And so when you violate that privilege and you violate the trust of the public. You shouldnt be driving your car. So its a very simple measure. The rule would apply to lawmakers until their cases result. But if a member is found guilty of deal, why hr 51 would prohibit that lawmaker from driving the pool called for a minimum of 3 it comes just months after urban state senator dave min was arrested for dui last week. He was sentenced to 3 years, informal probation. And while he did not comment after that sentencing during the night of the arrest back in may, men stated, quote, i accept full responsibility and there is no excuse for my actions. The proposal would apply to all Assembly Members on both sides of the aisle and to those convicted of deal, why wouldnt they were still candidates last month . Clarissa serve on herself. A Riverside City Council member and current candidate for assembly pled guilty to her second misdemeanor dui in the last 8 years. Her attorney did not respond for comment. The number of elected officials. And candidates for office who are im being arrested for dui across the state and its highly irresponsible. I think what when you run for elected office are held to a higher standard in this state where 4 people died in dui related crashes every day. Mothers against drunk driving or madd fully supports the proposal driving while impaired by alcohol. But and ordered is a choice and we must hold accountable every person who makes that choice. And its now up to the Assembly Rules committee to decide whether to send the proposal to the floor for a vote reporting at the State Capitol. Eytan wallace kron. 4 news. Thank you. Wait on 6. 51.
