A hospital in daly is a 100 full with patients i heard the Kaiser Hospital whichois in the northern part of the county is also full so make no mistake about it. Immediately what we should do is we should join those other counties and stay at home immediately i know from my family and for myself. We are staying at home. I know the county there is asked folks to take hyper vigilance sort of speak as opposed to just joining. That stay at home order. What are you doing to kind of convince your colleagues to move in that direction to wear. You believe youre saying that but what are you doing to kind of convention colleagues to move in that direction. Well look its my colleagues that are Decision Makers on one of the constitution, the california state constitution. Its the Health Officer who makes that a determination and our Health Officers, the one who could put the the stay at home order enjoying these other counties and we can be aligned and so what were trying to do is to really sort of emphasize to him and were starting to see it with our malls being fall and people coming from other parts the bay area that its just important that we align ourselves with these other counties and we need to do it now because the numbers our dramatically taking a case for the worse you look at our our case number today in San Mateo County. Those are new cases. It was the worst ever since the pandemic and so the numbers dont lie the data doesnt life and hopefully well be able to do is the follow Sonoma Countys lead selfimposed a stay at home order and so im optimistic that our Health Officer will join other Health Officers in doing that. Well look i mean there are other county officer county Health Officers. What are we doing in San Mateo County about it what weve created. I want to first counties in the state of california to create a Compliance Team making sure that we hold people. We need to be of focus and so obviously our goal is to educate educate educate. But sometimes especially with this Compliance Team. We do people who are chronic violators people who flout the the health order and so we need to hold them accountable and thats why if with a fine structure to do that. You mention the fact San Mateo County right now at 9 icu bed capacity to the south of you in Santa Clara County even drastically worse there. If for some reason the county does reach that 0 can you talk a little bit about what the game plan is moving forward to help the most vulnerable. Critically ill patients from this virus. What well look i mean we need to have there was there is one place. You know sort of a system where we can all work. Collaboratively together and my understanding you know the counties are just operating by themselves in terms of patients you know they have a plan. From marin county which from san clinton and so the collaboration is there the counties and amongst the bay area but we have to try to avoid is and you see it in Southern California. Directors that we really sort of have a plan in place to deal with all this. But you can have a plan in place. But you dont know what could potentially. Happen. And theres a chance San Mateo County could enter in this stay at home order anyway regardless of the other bay area counties starting sooner icu capacity could dip below 15 at any time now so the county could be there anyway.
