Well as the ballot counting process continues Election Officials are reminding us that each state has different rules when it comes to how ballots are cast and counted now here in california, the ballots need to be postmarked by election night. But they can be counted after that. Now lawmakers in sacramento are talking about making a vote by mail a permanent option. This year the state required county Elections Officials to mail a ballot to all registered voters. The goal was to have fewer people actually vote in person because of the pandemic all told nearly 60 of registered voters cast their ballots before election day. So now in sacramento Governor Newsome mental state legislature looking into making that a permanent option. Efforts to Reform Police departments are now under way in several major u. S. Cities as millions of voters approved changes in the ways that Law Enforcement operate on election day voters across the country voted on nearly 2 dozen Police Reform measures and new policies in order to update modern policing some cities are already taking steps forward from that Seattle Portland and others are creating their own citizen panels that would oversee Police Involved incidents or investigate alleged misconduct by officers. I remember i remember talking about this a hearing in asking a witness. How how many instances of voter fraud are there in an election any given Election Year across the entire United States and you can count them make a be on the fingers of one hand. Its a felony, its very difficult to do its not something that that that that want to do because of that because of the serious felony charges and go with it and thats not how we treat our democracy we honor or vote we honor or or need to go and vote and choose the person who we think well thats represent us at the polls so from what i can tell the examining all the legal legal lawsuits have been brought by the Trump Campaign. They fall 2 categories. One is process and the process in the end most of those lawsuits have been thrown out on process or the 2 or 3 minimum. They moved someone and observer from like 10 feet away to 6 feet away which i think kind of crazy at me. World of covid but anyway its but theyre always every county allows for observers to be there from the representative parties and no one is alleging that that was really done that mean what the president says and what his legal team says well actually its legal spin masters with the lawyers actually put forth dont comport with reality and thats why those could course have been dismissed. The second that theyve been trying to theyve been trying to argues has to do the idea that theres theres voter fraud. But again because voter fraud is so small is so infinitesimal the idea that you can take one person who may be someone may have may have checked the box and said they vote and they said they hadnt voted. This is the kind of the year you can straighten out thats right provisional ballots are all about. But you cant extrapolate 2 or 3 instances in an entire country to an election of 160 million votes. And thats where thats where you know any comparisons of bush gore. Any comparisons any there there are no comparisons and they dont have a legal leg to stand on they can they can try and delay things they have hail very scary hail mary options that. Depend on a court a green that maybe there was something wrong or at least setting up a hearing that stretches it out for a long period of time where maybe you know they can convince state legislatures in pennsylvania or wisconsin, which are run by republicans to try and tossed out the duly elected elect tours for joe biden thats really all they have left because theres nothing they can do that will that will change the vote of the American People that has been challenging over the past 5 days and michael we want you to stay with us but we do want to tell everyone that joe biden has tweeted. So i think the tensions are going to remain high between now and the actual swearingin of joe biden in january of 2021 i if if you if i could see any glimmer of of greece of of respect for the institution of democracy. In the president s, you know i would hope it would come out now, but im not looking to that. But after january 2021. Joe biden has i think a real challenge ahead of him, but one i think that he can be. Lets lets lets think about this. There were a 100 and. They said they didnt bring that up an argument the court they mainly spoke is their argument on the Software System used to compare signature. So there are some legal challenges but so far theres challenges havent played out. But the margin right for biden here with more than 25,000 with more than 25,000 vote lead is pretty significant when you consider the match just was going to map before we went on when we started the day were told around a 125,000 outstanding ballots. Theyre still even with this latest update more than a 100,000 outstanding ballots but with a 25,000 vote lead everything trending all the numbers every time weve got a new update biden has increased his lead which is probably why the Associated Press just did the math is that really theres you know, im not a mathematical chance for trump to come back just with about a 100,000 both votes outstanding to be counted.
