Tonight the house speakers hairstylist is backing her claimant says the salon owner said the whole thing up. Through his lawyer he says that the salon owner approved the appointment. During a conversation over the phone dinardo says that he made several comments criticizing the house speaker. Surveillance video surfaced of pelosi getting her hair washed and blowdried indoors at a time when salons were not allowed to reopen. The salon was saying they are able to do this and they are not, then they should not have said that they should not have been open for me to go there. But we trusted a neighborhood salon that ive been to for years. In an interview with fox news just a short time ago the setup was denied. She called to make the appointment, so it was already booked, so there is no way i could have set that up. If she is in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down . The stylists lawyer said that they have been violating the order for months and is tting up nancy pelosi for her own aspirations. Tomorrow morning we expect to hear from the family of a black man shot and killed in a walmart in april. Tonight the officer has been charged with manslaughter. But something its not enough. The District Attorneys Office filed voluntary manslaughter offices against the San Leandro Police officer today. But according to one legal expert we spoke with tonight, she says the death of Stephen Taylor is murder. Those facts do not amount to voluntary manslaughter. It is at least seconddegree murder. It was april of this year when officer Jason Fletcher responded to a call of a possible robbery at this walmart in san leandro. Inside Stephen Taylor was waving about and when taylor demanded he put the bat down, taylor did not comply. That led to a taser being deployed twice followed by a fatal gunshot. It is difficult for me to believe that one could not have the intent to kill another person when officer took his gun, put it in front of the victim and shot him in the chest. The Alameda County District Attorney wouldnt discuss why her office opted for a lighter manslaughter charge but the criminal complaint was filed after a thorough investigation. Officer fletchers actions coupled with his failure to tirenderedhiof deadly force unreasonable. Regardless of the charge, victims rights advocates feel this is a step in the right direction. For the families we work with, thats the number one thing they want but they never get. For the officers that killed their loved ones to be charged. They hope this case will send the message to Law Enforcement to use every de escalation option possible before taking a life. I do think it would be an incentive for them to maybe nepal triggers so fast. San Leandro Police chief wrote in a statement that its important for the judicial process to take its course and we reached out to officer fletchers attorney but have not heard back. Lots of people are going to want to hit the beach this hot Holiday Weekend, but dont go to pacifica. The city is closing its beaches and parking lots from sunrise on saturday to sunrise on tuesday, just like they did for the fourth of july because of the coronavirus. Half moon bay is keeping its beaches open. State regulators want to make sure the power grid does not buckle under the strain again so Power Companies have been ordered to delay any routine maintenance so that they are generating as much electricity as possible during the heat wave. Its back to the classroom for lots of students in santa clara and san mateo counties. Schools getting the okay to throw out Distance Learning one by one. Yay. Creekside School Executive director was not the only one thrilled about getting the okay to welcome students into the classroom. Weve had parents calling us today saying we are so excited. The san jose private school serves students with autism from 5 to 22 years old. Students who are in special education for a reason. They need special education, and a video camera does not merit the definition of special education. Creekside is one of only two individual schools to get the okay to reopen in Santa Clara County area the county also gave the green light to three other school districts, dozens more are being reviewed. In San Mateo County waivers for reporting private and Charter Schools were approved so far. They have been very thrilled and thankful. They really feel the need to get kids back on campus, especially young kids. The application process is straightforward. Looking at things like testing, articles for teachers and their Contact Tracing particles, cleaning and physical distancing and their Face Covering policies. The process involved several conversations with the office of education and was worth every minute. The teachers are just incredibly enthusiastic about seeing kids again. Creekside is in the middle of planning before opening its doors. There is another way for schools to reopen, thats if the county is in the right ear for at least two weeks. Starting friday you can get your haircut indoors in Alameda County. Hair salons and barbershops will reopen inside with modifications of course. Malls can also reopen a 25 capacity. Coming up, wireless roulette. The push for 5g service generating a huge backlash and one to Lincoln Valley community. My parents and other residents have never had it this close to them, ever. The unemployment system still overwhelmed and tonight possible evidence of u. S. Wireless carriers are aggressively expanding their 5g networks. But there are still no studies about how safe the technology really is. The issue has divided communities across the bay area. Reporter here in palo alto some residents thought long and hard to slow the spread of wireless antennas in their neighborhoods. The city released a new wireless ordinance that steers 5g residential towers away from residential areas. For everyone else, it is 20 feet including homes for seniors. I think it is outrageous. Christopher bell first noticed it last spring, a small 5g cell tower right next to chaining house, the retirement home where his parents lived. Chris started asking questions about it and says an employee with at t which owns the 5g installation told him if you are worried about the small cell no due or to be more worried about the tower on top of the chaining house. It turns out it is also home to a 4g wireless cell tower on the roof installed back in 2006. My parents and other residents never had this disclosed to them. There is no strong evidence that radiofrequency waves cause any Noticeable Health effects. But it says more research is needed, especially for any possible, longterm effects. I think its the unknown. We dont have definitive answers. Responding to residents concerns, chaining house hired a consultant to test the rooftop tower and the results came back way lower than the exposure limits deemed safe. But those limits set by the fcc in 1996 are outdated. It is just a giant expansion on the population. Hundreds of Peer Reviewed studies from 41 countries have found that exposure to radio frequency towers like the one on top of the chaining house can have Serious Health impacts. What people describe as brain fog, confusion, a whole range of symptoms has been associated with the longterm exposure to cell phone radiation. As per the new 5g towers, there have been no studies at all to date on potential health impacts. 5g uses slower microwaves and faster millimeter waves. Thousands of scientists and doctors have signed appeals calling on governments at least to establish a moratorium until we can understand what the hazards are. But medication i peoples fear of exposure to radiation from cell phone towers is unfounded. You would expect it to be showing up in the population by ilndreds st hureemct and consider health when permi equipment. The guidance on health is a federal matter and as long as you remain within the guidelines set forth by the sec, then you cannot deny a permit or application for a site based simply upon the fact that a group of citizens believes its unsafe. Not only that, the fcc requires cities to grant permits for cell sites pastor to help speed up the 5g rollout. Wireless communications is an extremely critical part of the 21st century life. The chaining house turn down our request for an interview but in intermittent email she said i would be surprised that they were not notified in 2006. As for the small cell tower outside of the building, chaining house was not consulted about it. Chaining has makes about 36,000 a year from leasing its roof to tmobile. A lady let a petition to terminate the contract. I think it is a risk. I dont know why we need to take that risk for 36,000 a year. That there is no way out, she says she is locked in for another 12 years and only t mobile can break the contract. You can relocate this equipment somewhere else not where seniors live 24 7. They deserve that respect. And the wireless ordinance does have a Residential Zone of exclusion but exceptions can be made to allow some wireless communication facilities just 20 feet from homes. Theres also an exception for that 600 foot setback for schools, that can go back to 300. Tonight, state lawmakers are concerned that thieves are committing widespread fraud across the appointment system. A growing number of people have been receiving dozens of letters addressed to other people and theres a concern that scammers are using random addresses to file false claims. Tonight Bipartisan Group of 40 lawmakers is demanding an audit of the edd. Im not going to make the claim that the edd is an inside job, but im getting close. Let me tell you why. Weve got to find out whether or not the ring is inside or outside. Today the edd claimed it is aware of the problems and is working with investigators to prosecute scammers.
