The deadliest and most destructive, the lnu complex fire in the north bay that has killed five people, earned about 1000 structures. But tonight, the complex is 27 contained. Evacuation warnings have been lifted and the city of opan mained to the front lines. Reporter this is the incident command post in santa rosa, one of two command posts for that lnu complex fire burning in the north bay. We watched as a steady stream of fire crews arrived, reinforcements that are providing a welcome relief to exhausted firefighters across the bay area. In the beginning resources were definitely stretched thin, firefighters were working 72 hours straight. We since then have had a significant number of firefighters assigned to this incident. Hellfire has also deployed the california conservation cord to help at the command post and National Guard troops will also arrive. We will receive 12 National Guard hangers. Officials say they expect the National Guard to arrive as the fires here in the bay area have burned nearly 1300 homes and several other buildings, killed seven people and prompted evacuation orders that still affect about hundred thes largest wildfires in california history and officials are concerned because they struck very early in the fire season. Typically in this area we see our largescale wildfires in october. So being this early, having this number of incidents all going on at the sameon at the s definitely be a challenge. They are also getting some help from the weather. Temperatures have cooled and humidity is higher. To the south, the scu complex has overtaken the lnu is the second largest fire in state history. The crews are gaining ground and the fire is now 20 contained and evacuation warnings have been lifted in fremont and morgan hill. Firefighters are focusing their efforts on protecting the heavy popular areas along the fires western and northern france. Farther into the fire zone, a close call atop mount hamilton. The flames narrowly spared the observatory. However it is still unclear whether there is any unseen damage from the heat. And now to the west and the santa cruz mountains, the czu complex is now 19 contained, up from 17 this afternoon. And while the fire grew by less than 800 acres today, the damage has been done. At least 443 structures are gone. This map shows the area between Boulder Creek and monte dune just west of ben loman. The darker dots represent homes that have been destroyed. Evacuation orders remain in effect in marin county, the woodward fire has burned about 3000 acres and firefighters are especially concerned about the terrain and conditions in northeastern parts of that area. As we wind the clock forward you can see a lot of these dots changing color read some improvement in air quality especially for the trivalley and Santa Clara Valley. But theres also been a few spots where the air quality has deteriorated. There was a brief window where the air quality was okay. Tomorrow will be another day where it will fluctuate but the worst air quality we will see is at least unhealthy for sensitive groups. Now we can take a look at the fire weather conditions for tomorrow. See if they will be as favorable for the fire crews to get containment on the wildfire area in just a few minutes. Instead he got to work protecting homes nearby. His farm was nearly destroyed except for the barn he and his family had been building for two years. The owner has seen a 35 percent bump in sales. Her homemade dessert recipes are passed down from her grandmother. Whats even better about the increase in sales is that i got to see Different Companies that i didnt even know existed. I started to partner with other bakeries and other people. He started shouting each other out. Many restaurants are offering specials and prefixed meals. We have caribbean, we have a nigerian restaurant with a really unique cuisine being offered to the community. The fog will not make us wait quite as far inland as it did last night, but still reduced visibility as you look into early tomorrow morning.
