that is supposed to be the county's responsibility. >> we are working to find a place. >> it is so public. >> reporter: eric wood love to move to the nick emmons but since he is clean and sober and has employable skills he was not considered in vulnerable enough to qualify. >> i do not want to be treated like an animal. if somebody gives me housing i will be able to do that. the problem is to back and nobody believes what is happening here. the california senate just rejected bill as be 50. this is the third year in a row that they have tried to pass this bill to address the states growing housing crisis. a has been developer wants to transform part of union square into housing. sandhill property submitted plans to turn old macy's building into a mixed-use development. the street and lower levels would be retail and the next five floors would be office space. 21 condos would be on the upper floors. macy's soul the building last year for $250 million. the san jose city council just approved a project to add 274 hotel rooms downtown. the 24 story tribute hotel would be connected to the montgomery hotel on first street. opponents are worried that the development will jeopardize the montgomery which is on the california register of historic places. supporters say the city needs the added hotel rooms. the expansion is expected to create 140 new jobs. >> it sure has come a long way from all of the apricot orchards. >> we have a look at the high clouds over the area tonight and that is about it. there getting rain in oregon and washington and we are getting not a drop. as we look at san jose tonight. the numbers have toppled into the 50s and 60s. we will have a little bit of fog forming by tomorrow but the general trend -- so not as chilly as it often can be in the month of january the ridges building. that means high clouds the closest place we can find rain in california is in crescent city and before we know it you are over the border of oregon. rain chances are about nothing for the next seven days. it is edging toward some record highs. there is a mix of sun and clouds. temperatures will warm and we are looking at 70s for the last week of january. fairfield will have a lot of son. 67 for livermore and 64 in san francisco. the other headline is the super bowl. we have mentioned it but not with regard to whether. in downtown miami it is 70. 3000 miles away that is where dennis o'donnell is. >> reporter: it is hot. breaking news on sandoval and what is jimmy g not good at?
