It has affected thousands of residents in the geyserville area, thousands fleeing those fires and those flames which ignited just two days ago leaving four Evacuation Centers. The governor today declaring a state of emergency. That will help the state of california fight this fire that is still just 5 contained. Cal fire of course needing all the help they can get at this point. Were taking a live look where the governor will address what is happening with this fire as well as the 13 wildfires that are happening right now that are burning across the state including several down in Southern California. Today the governor is going to meet with some of the residents of geyserville and the First Responders and the good news in all of this is that there are no fatalities from this fire or any missing persons from the fire that is burning, the kincade fire that store ched 21,900 acres. The winds have subsided since yesterday and two days before, but as mary told us earlier in the broadcast, the winds are expected to pick up this weekend which could make it very difficult for firefighters once again who are battling this blaze. The fire could spread once again. The governor, were told has entered this building. He has not yet approached the leck turn but well give you this Live Conference as soon as it happens. The latest from Sonoma County where the governor has issued a state of emergency due to the kincade fire, cal fair says that it has burned 21,900 acres once again and 5 containment, 49 structures have been destroyed including homes, cabins, wineries, buildings and vineyards. And crews are trying to take advantage of calmer conditions right now including air drops but more strong winds could return this weekend. Were going to stay on top of this fire and for the very latest on this as the governor once again has declared a state of emergency. That will help the state of california get some funds from fema to help fight these fires. It has been a very difficult fire fate for cal fire so far. They have been battling low humidity conditions. They have been seeing high temperatures in those areas, steep terrain as they continue to battle the kincade fire when it erupted around 9 00 on wednesday night. It torched a 10,000 acres very quickly and then we saw it was at 0 containment thursday morning. They were able to make air drops on thursday morning and thursday afternoon and continuously fought this fire throughout the day on thursday. They were able to then make some progress and contain those lines and then they upped that containment as we take a look at some of the video of the flames and some of the cars that had to go through those roads. Up to 49 structures already burned. So many residents in that area, roughly 2,000 residents had to evacuate their homes on a moments notice as this fire continued to burn. Once again cal fire has said they are making those air drops and the fire retardant but when the winds pick up it is difficult for cal fire to make those because they are not as effective in controlling those flames so that is why were seeing some of the numbers that are so low right now. 5 containment at last check burning 21,900 acres and, of course the winds will be a factor this weekend. Mary is with us and she will have more on that once we come back after this break. Welcome back.
