The southbound lanes were shut down for several hours during the morning commute. Officers say the victims in a Cadillac Escalade drove themselves to the hospital. Their injuries appear to be non life threatening. Chp says it is unclear if the victims were targeted. Tonight, authorities are looking for a thief who stole a truck and led officers on a pretty wild chase. It started in San Francisco and it ended near the sunnyvale golf course. A passerby posted this snapchat video of officers with their guns drawn. You can see one of them running towards the box truck on the side of the highway. The drama started in San Francisco. The thief took officers on a chase down highway 101 before getting onto 237. It ended up going the wrong way and westbound on the eastbound side of 237. The truck then veered over to the shoulder. It came to rest and collided into a tree. The suspect then bailed out of the truck, hopped over a fence. Reporter chopper 5 shows investigators surrounding the truck this afternoon. The owner had called authorities around 1 00 p. M. To report that a man hopped into his vehicle and drove off. He followed him until chp redwood city officers joined in on the chase. They are suing uc berkeley, the campus police, as well as the city of Berkeley Police because they got hurt during the riots. Attorney sean steele says his client high school no idea violence was going to break out, but believes police should have known and did not do enough to protect them. They are specialists.
