We are also following some breaking news out of the Yosemite National park. A rock slide has killed one person and injured another. This happened on a very popular hiking trail up el capitan. Reporter well liz, its been a tough day for transportation around the bay area. This is that bus that was previously up on the sidewalk. It is just about to be towed away. You can see how extensive the damage to the front of the vehicle is from crashing into the poll earlier. Ac transit tells us they do believe this will be a total loss as you can imagine how terrifying it was for people standing on the sidewalk as it came careening half of a city block towards the miraculous area. Police are telling us they believe everyone will be just fine. The bus was going about 40 miles an hour when it went on the sidewalk. Reporter don was working a construction job this morning. Police say five people were hospitalized from this crash including both bus drivers, but none of the injuries are considered life threatening. Derick almena and max harris have just pleaded not guilty to 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. The men are accused of allowing conditions in the cluttered Warehouse Space to pose a significant fire hazard. 36 people died at the ghost ship in december of last year. In lafayette a woman was struck and killed by a car on highway 24 on Pleasant Hill road. Chopper 5 was over the scene just after it happened at about 11 00 this morning. Only one eastbound lane was open while chp investigated. Its unclear why the woman was on the road. Chp is asking any witnesses to come forward to help with the investigation.
