Nobody has ac i tried to buy a fan and they laughed at me he. Thats okay because the weather at tense on was perfect and while its always a popular place this beach is usually grayer than this. Do you get very many days at the beach. Not very many of them. So the trip begins predictably with a traffic jam in mill valley where pranksters have changed the sign to traffic jam valley. Things open up a bit until you get to a point where all traffic is detoured off highway 1 because of a construction project. That puts all cars on single lane panoramic highway. At 10 30 this highway it took 10 minutes to go the last 2 miles. Its a lot more curvey, it takes a while and you have got to plan for it. But people dont. No, not at all. They come and they get really surprised that it takes 2 miles to 2 hours to go a mile. The traffic on this road is so ridiculous the local scp office put out a release with a cartoon of the caped crusader slapping robin for even suggesting it. But for those that made it it was a glorious day, a day to relax and forget about this hottest day on record. And for many it was also a matter of survival. When the incident happened there was no Police Presence at all on the platforms, when i was going up the stairway. Theres a reason for that. Bart police admit they are short staffed. We dont have enough officers to have one in each station. Of the 200 Law Enforcement positions budgeted, 20 remain unfilled. Police say they are mounting an Aggressive Campaign to fill the positions but that didnt help carlos. I would just like things to change. I would like bart to be safer for everyone. In oak land,. California experiences a disaster on the scale of what we have seen in texas its likely to be from a massive earthquake. The north ridge quake that struck in 1994. What you should be doing now to prepare. Lets go back to that january morning in 1994 along this stretch of balboa boulevard. This massive sink hole was caused by a water main break and as you can see from this picture a few hours before the flooding was massive. Then huge flames from a ruptured gas line cost at least 5 homes to catch on fire. We somehow you this because we want you to know an earthquake is likely to cause more disaster. Flooding from broken water lines. An expert says preparation is the key to saving liveses. First have a plan in place long before the earthquake hits. This should be number one on the list, identify safe spots in each room to take cover, undertables or defects. Identify an escape route out of your home. Identify meeting places outside so you can gather your family after the shaking stops. Select an out of state contact so everybody has a way to communicate and store plenty of food and water that will last at least a week. And this is really important, practice your plan, conduct annual earthquake drills in over room. And probably the single most important thing to remember is if you begin to feel the ground shake, do not go running outside. Instead, stop, drop, and take cover. That is probably the most important thing that in an earthquake can save your life. Still to come, plenty of people are opening their hearts and wall let to victims of harvey. But be careful. So 11 attorney general attorneys gave a choice, ends the program by tuesday or they will ask a court to do it and thats why even if the president supports daca its not in the clear. It would still have to survive a legal challenge. But if congress was left out one fix would be for congress to vote for daca in the form of a law. That way the program would be safe. Says that is the plan when congress meets again on tuesday. We have bipartisan bills that would make daca legal so that the threat would go away. Though he acknowledges the threat of congress to pass Immigration Reform is why it was bypassed in the first place. The problem is congress is phis functional.
