The suspect was pronounced dead. The officer was treated and released for minor injuries and went back to the hospital awhile later for more tests. He is on paid administrative leave. A woman is accused of beating her neighbor to death with a baseball bat, the body of a 66yearold woman was found last night inside of a home on North Clairemont street. The investigators found the bat nearby. The suspect is 40yearold brent martinez. Later showed up to turn herself in. Motive for the beating is not clear and the victims name has not been released. No structures damaged and no word how the fire started. On the same theme, illegal fireworks may of sparked a fire that nearly burned down a neighborhood.
