It . Yesterday was super tuesday. Its a wet one out there, too. Well call it a wet wednesday, too. Were seeing the rain coming down. And were going to see it off and on in waves. Take a look at this camera. You can barely see with those raindrops on the lens. So you know what that means. You need the windshield wipers. Maybe well get a swipe or too going across this camera. This is the rain thats returning to the bay area this morning, moving from south to north, and as it moves through weve seen some pockets of some heavy rain. You can track this as well if you have the nbc bay area app. Youll be able to see throughout the day, we will have a chance of rain in the forecast that continues into the evening, before things wind down tonight. Well talk more about that in a few minutes. Chp is issuing a Traffic Alert. All lanes are blocked in hercules, eastbound 80. If you dont know where hercules is, youve got pinol and rodeo, heading toward the carquinez bridge. All lanes are blocked. Westbound theres a crash, as well as a distraction from all the flashing lights. No major injuries reported, were just hearing about a lot of debris in lanes and wet roadways south of there, so thats the big issue right here on the upper eastshore freeway. Another issue, the other section is in the south bay where were looking at north 87. An early crash at capitol expressway caused complications and theres a slow zone from capitol to curtner and its really early for that. Thanks, mike. Breaking news, a shakeup in the 2024 president ial race. Former u. N. Ambassador nikki haley dropping out following super tuesday. But it was a big night for President Joe Biden and former president donald trump. The results setting up an all but certain rematch between the pair come november. Today in the bays brie jackson is live for us in washington this morning. Brie, a lot to break down this morning. I want to start with haley and that announcement. Talk about that. Reporter good morning, marcus. So a source familiar with her plans confirms to nbc news that haley will officially exit the race later this morning. Were expecting to hear from her about an hour from now. So far, she had only secured 92 delegates of the 1,215 needed for the gop president ial nomination. The former u. N. Ambassador lost more than a dozen states to trump last night. She did pull off a surprise upset in vermont, however the state was her only win of the night and her campaigns second primary victory of the entire race. Haley is expected to deliver remarks in charleston, in her home state of South Carolina later this morning, where she will make the official announcement. Worth noting, its also a state she lost by a big margin to former President Trump during the primary. One thing you cant say is that she didnt certainly give a fight in her campaign there. Brie, certainly a tough morning for haley. But a very good morning in other campaigns, were talking about the campaigns of President Biden, as well as trump. Reporter so with haley dropping out, trump eliminates all of his competition to the nomination, but even if she stayed in, it was seemingly only a matter of time, especially after last night. Lets take a look at the numbers. So far, trump has 1,057 delegates after last night, including a victory in california, getting nearly 80 of the republican primary support there in the golden state. Once again, trump needs 1,215 to secure the nomination. An all but inevitable conclusion at this point. President biden, who has been running with no conceivable challenger, picked up major wins across the super tuesday states. That includes california, where he garnered more than 89 of support from primary voters. Biden currently has 1,564 delegates. He needs 1,968 to officially secure the democratic nomination. As we mentioned, a biden trump rematch now seems all but inevitable come november. Both are set to hold events in georgia this weekend. That state holds primaries next tuesday. A big win last night for President Biden, but he didnt secure the universal support. There were some voters in one u. S. Territory putting support behind another candidate, which was a surprise here. Reporter yeah, this was surprising. The territory of American Samoa delivering President Biden a loss in his reelection bid. Maryland businessman jason palmer is the projected winner of its democratic caucus. Preliminary results show the little known candidate received 51 votes compared to President Bidens 40, with palmer collecting four of the six delegates. Now, with only six delegates at stake, the outcome will hardly impact President Bidens nomination for president in the democratic party. The island territory is roughly 2,500 miles southwest of hawaii. Just to be clear, residents of u. S. Territories vote in primaries, but do not have representation in the electoral college. Back to you. Well, this is where the work kicks in. Full force ahead until the november election. Brie jackson in washington this morning, thank you. Busy times for ballot counters. Theyre still being counted with some races too close to call. Several big issues have already been decided, including local measures looking to tackle the issue of the unhoused and police power in San Francisco. Kris sanchez continues our coverage in the newsroom this morning. Any big surprises here . Reporter despite all of the positive ads that you likely saw on tv, what californias proposition 1 would do for the community and the number of high profile endorsements on prop 1 intending to address Mental Health and substance abuse, voters seem to be split. Lets take a look at the numbers together. As of the last count, it is 50 50 split, proposition 1 has to get more than 50 of the vote in order to pass. Governor newsom has been working on this for years. He was out on Election Night trying to get lastminute support for the 6. 38 billion bond, again still in limbo. In San Francisco, measure e seems poised to pass, addressing San Francisco Police Policies and expanding some police powers, and San Franciscos measure f also looks likely to pass, requiring Drug Screening for anyone seeking public assistance. Now, the passage of both measures together can really be read as a show of support for what mayor london breed is trying to do in San Francisco. Im going to officially call the results of e and f as in our favor and when i look at all the change on the ballot, all the ballot measures on the ballot, all of what we are going to be able to continue to do to deliver for San Francisco, i am so excited about the future. Reporter mayor breed also backed measure c in San Francisco which would tax businesses in order to provide funding, to provide services to the unhoused. That is still too close to call. Well keep track of that for you. Thank you very much. Election coverage continues here on today in the bay. Ahead this morning on the today show, starting at 7 00, our National Team of reporters will have the latest results and analysis. You can find results on local measures online at nbcbayarea. Com. Meteorologist kari hall is tracking what we can expect throughout the bay area today. How are temps looking right now . Its starting out mild, but its definitely the umbrellas that are needed at this point. Weve had some pockets of heavy rain and even some flooding in some spots. Some brief street flooding will continue just for a little while, while we get the heavy rain. Once the rain moves out, we start to see the water soaking in. We are seeing it off and on as it continues to move from south to north with the new wave of rain coming through in the last couple of hours, affecting many areas south of the Golden Gate Bridge, the peninsula, down to the south bay and over toward the inner bay for the east bay. We are seeing some breaks in the clouds in dublin, but there will be a chance of rain throughout the day. Our temperatures only reaching into the low 60s, but the sunshine come back tomorrow. Mike has a look at where we can find lower gas prices. Higher lowers now, because were talking about the approach of spring break and the summer blend is ahead. Nothing below 4 bucks in the south bay. San joses best is now 4. 09 at great gas on Stevens Creek boulevard. In san leandro, the low is 4. 25 at bay fair gas mart on 14th street. In the north bay, 4. 44 at valero on 3rd, the bottom price here. These are all listed on gasbuddy. Com. Thank you for sharing. A continuing tradition. A lot of work. Bakers get up early in the morning. Bring it on. Bring on the carbs. Meteorologist kari hall is putting in a lot of work when it comes to this weather. Its nonstop. We need a break here. Well get that starting tomorrow, a break from the rainfall and the sunshine returns. But we have one more wave of this storm system coming through, and we can see it this morning really starting to pick up as it approaches, and seeing lightning strikes off the coast. That will be the possibility that we could see some thunderstorms today, as that moves closer. But as of right now were just seeing rain. Its been off and on and mainly hitting the south bay, the peninsula and parts of the east bay. We will eventually see it working its way on northward, but as we track it with stormranger, we are seeing pockets of really heavy rain and thats reduced visibility down to very low amounts, very short distances, as youre heading out and driving this morning. Looking at the peninsula, down to the south bay, and either 680, 880, its been pretty wet. Definitely 880 getting the heaviest of that rainfall for the east bay. And were seeing it in the south bay, at times picking up. Its been off and on, campbell from san jose, all the way up to milpitas getting heavy rain, and then moving up 680 through fremont and getting closer to sunol now, as we are seeing it lifting to the north. So a chance of spotty rain today and also some thunderstorms, but tomorrow and friday the sunshine will be coming back. Now, the weekend wont be a total washout, but there will be some rain chances, mainly on saturday. It will continue with a chance of rain today into the afternoon, and through the evening commute, all the way up until about 5 00 to 6 00. Then we start to see the activity winding down, about a quarter inch of rain or less. Lets check in on the Sierra Snowpack we know got a huge boost over the weekend and the start of the week. Now were at 104 of normal. So weve seen it really make up after such a slow start, and the additional snowfall well see will be fairly light into the weekend, while we see that quickmoving system moving through on saturday. Early next week well have the potential of a bigger storm system coming in as well be tracking some rain late next monday into tuesday. Were looking good in the near term after todays rainfall, sunshine, and a bit of a break for thursday into friday. A slight chance on saturday. Then well spring forward on sunday morning. Set your clock forward one hour. And were also going to see rain next week. Mike, whats the update on the Traffic Alert . The Traffic Alert is better now. Instead of all lanes blocked, we have one lane blocked and were seeing recovery eastbound away from the bay bridge. We have much better flow from the earlier crash. Not any major injuries. A major distraction for your commute westbound, traffic released a few minutes ago. We see more slowing heading through richmond and berkeley, and at the toll plaza we see all lanes filled in. There is Steady Movement that will continue to build. Slick roadways at the bay bridge and much more water here in the south bay. Kari showed the radar activity pushing through milpitas and sunol. We still have north 87 really jammed up by a lot of debris from an earlier crash near capitol expressway. Earlier slowing from capitol and also 101 itself past 280. Its starting to move better now. More rain caused more slowing. 280 shows the build and theres a crash 280 near 17. The interchange is open. Back to you. Thanks, mike. 6 22 this morning. And celebrating women and wine. Were live this morning breaking down the process and the surprisingly low voter turnout. This is today in the bay. 6 30 on your wednesday morning. Thanks for starting your day with us. Im laura garcia. Im marcus washington. Lets get you caught up on whats happening with the weather. Meteorologist kari hall has been tracking the rain off and on throughout the bay area. Its been hit or miss and really pouring in those areas that are getting the rain. As we take a look at some of our cameras, we can see raindrops on the lens in san jose and some scattered showers in oakland, some breaks in the clouds in dublin, and San Francisco, a very soggy commute for a lot this morning. Were going to see some slight rain chances or slight thunderstorm chances along with this rain as we go throughout today. You can see the activity moving from south to north. Eventually it will make its way into the north bay. The pockets of heavy rain continue as we track with stormranger. You can do the same at home with the nbc bay area app and get to the weather tab and click on smart radar. Thats our storm ranger. Youll be able to see exactly when and where its raining and get alerts for rain as it approaches your location. So well be tracking that together. Well talk more about it coming up in a few minutes. We start off this half hour with breaking news. Gop president ial hopeful nikki haley ending her bid. Haley is expected to make it official at the top of the hour in her home state of South Carolina. Nbc bay areas political analyst Larry Gersten is joining us now. Larry, certainly no surprise, but why do you think she really battled it out through super tuesday, despite the long odds against her . A couple of reasons. She wanted to make her point, she thought there was another way for republicans to run the country, not necessarily the way that former President Trump has done. But, also, remember, theres been some uncertainty as to whether there would be a trial. And if so, what would happen to former President Trump. She was there in the wings. Thats dissipated, as her candidacy has dissipated. When you look at it, no clear path for her. Moving her aside, this is setting up a rematch, if you will, with President Biden and former President Trump here. I want to ask you, if you were head of each of those campaigns, what would be your first order of business . Because we have the same two candidates, but not the same scenario. Right. Im glad you asked that question. They each have a serious problem. For former President Trump, hes got 25 to 30 of his party that is not happy with him, and clearly thats why they went with nikki haley. Hes got to find a way to get those republicans, many of them conservatives, back into the fold. As far as President Biden goes, hes got a lethargic party. Democrats are just not excited about him, so theyre there in numbers, but hes got to find a way to mobilize them and show them, hey, i am the future, no matter what you think. So they both have big challenges and theyve got eight months to do it. Well see who comes out on top. Of course we cant let you go without talking about californias u. S. Senate race. Congressman adam schiff and republican businessman steve garvey, former dodger, squaring off in november to fill the late Dianne Feinsteins seat. You say even if garvey loses in november, it could have big implications in other races. Yeah, thats because of his prominence, republicans came out to vote because they had a candidate, thanks to adam schiff, who really promoted him. Thats a funny thing in itself. And with that, a lot of republicans came in number one and number two in races where traditionally democrats have dominated both top spots. The top two people in each race run off in november. Often its been two democrats. Now weve got republicans as well. So look to see the possibility of some republican gains in the assembly, in the state senate as well, when they thought it would never be possible. Thats what happens in california politics. Look, a lot more that will happen between now and november, and im sure well see a lot more of you in that time as well. Thank you so much for your time this morning. Thank you. Now to the key races playing out in the south bay, it includes san jose mayors race that really ended in a landslide. Former san jose mayor one step closer to congress. Today in the bays bob redell joins us live outside the Santa Clara County Registrars Office in san jose. And theyve still got a lot of ballot counting to go, bob. Reporter they do. Several hours worth. We expect counting to resume in about 90 minutes here at the Santa Clara County registrar of Voters Office in san jose, which not only would finalize the results of the races here in the south bay, but will let us know what the turnout was like during yesterdays primary election. The office was predicting anywhere between 35 and 45 turnout, below expectations. This is video of ballots arriving at the office from around the county last night. The office tells me counting can go on until 6 00 tonight. One race that has silicon valleys attention, who will replace anna eshoo to represent the 16th district in congress. Right now sam liccardo leads with just over half of the precincts reporting, followed by joe simitian and evan low. Last night mayor liccardo says the country needs a congress that will get something done on homelessness. He also reflected on his time as mayor. We have a wonderfully diverse city, a city that continues to inspire me and show me how people can overcome incredible obstacles, and show amazing resilience to accomplish great things. And that inspiration will carry me in congress. I am just really delighted and appreciative, frankly, that so many good folks stepped up and said we want you in the mix and we want you to be our member of congress. I was knocking myself and calling while knocking on doors. Many actually said they still did not turn in their ballot. I said, what are you waiting for . Its an exciting moment to see democracy in action. Im hopeful that we can see more of a turnout than previous years. Reporter as you can see on your screen, current san jose mayor matt mahan easily won reelection, beating tyrone wade in a landslide, 88 to 12 . Reporting live in san jose, bob redell, today in the bay. Thanks for the latest, bob. Well, oakland mayor sheng thao is opening up about a variety of issues the city is facing, including crime. She says the situation is improving from business owner, but not all agree, citing numbers from opd, the Mayors Office says that in downtown, uptown, chinatown and Jack London Square car burglaries are down by 43 , with commercial burglaries down by 49 . In the diamond and laurel districts, robberies are down 68 and in the hegenberger district, theft is down by 47 . This is compared from data last year. In a oneonone interview with the mayor, thao credits police and her administration bringing back operation ceasefire, which helps address gun violence in the city. After my administration resurrected operation ceasefire, our great personnel at opd and the department of violence prevention have been coming together with the community to really bring back the operation ceasefire and what were seeing is the fruits of that labor right now. Now, we did crunch our own numbers from opd this morning, and as of this past sunday, year to date, robberies in the city of oakland were up 39 overall, residential burglaries were up 100 . The mayor and i discussed more topics, including whe things stand for the search for the next police chief. You can watch the full interview at 7 00 this morning during our streaming newscast on roku and other streaming platforms. Lets take a peek outside on this wednesday morning. Whoa, i wanted to see something. Well, thats a live look at San Francisco. It shows you the fog. Kari has a look at our forecast. Were seeing some rain. Yes, we are. And those clouds are hovering just above the streets and the surface. So at least at ground level we can see. But were going to have waves of rain coming through, and another wave of rain moving from south to north. So its really hitting the peninsula and the south bay pretty hard. Weve had issues with street flooding and its a very sloppy commute as youre traveling up and down the peninsula and through the south bay. Were seeing rain picking up again in san jose and coming through fremont, union city and moving closer to sunol. So for the past couple of hours weve seen it affecting some of the same areas, but well see a chance of rain and possibly some thunderstorms even into this afternoon. Ill be tracking that. Mike, you were seeing some rain out of richmond. They just ran the wipers here so we can clearly see the water, droplets on the roadway, on the bridge north the north bay. Everything moves smoothly throughout the north bay, but we heard about a new spinout on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge heading toward the span. Again, slick conditions. Lower the speeds. The green is showing wet roadways throughout this portion of contra costa county, as well as parts of the north bay, along the peninsula, through the east bay. As we look ahead, watch the slick roadways. This evening, there will be a game at chase center and more traffic on the 280 extension. The warriors play at 7 00. We see green and puddling and ponding along the coast, throughout the south bay and through the trivalley as well. Back to you. Thanks, mike. Using ai to help ease our climate in crisis. Well hav take that up a little bit higher. You should feel that, like, right back here. Oh, yeah, i felt that good, that is so much better than last week. Thanks, ive been doing em every night while im watching tv. Oh, what are you watching . Its a mystery. High quality care that meets you where you are. Good wednesday morning. Right now at 6 43, we take a look at our di planner for mountain view. Starting out very soggy and temperatures in the low 50s. We will see waves of rain between 10 00 and 2 00 today, and then a bit of a break as we go into the evening, as our temperatures stay mostly in the 50s. We will see much more sunshine tomorrow, so well get a look at that coming up in a few minutes. Wet roads, 101 northbound a little extra slow. 87 and 280 having a tougher time. Well talk about 85 as well. The race for the white house just got much more clear. Scott mcgrew, republican hopeful nikki haley suspending her campaign this morning. Not unexpected. Good morning to you. Weve been told she will speak at 7 00 a. M. Our time, so about 15 minutes. Yesterday was the biggest single day of primaries, thats why they call it super tuesday, and haley lost all but one of them, winning the state of vermont. Now, haleys camp will likely point out when she speaks at 7 00, a huge number of republicans did choose her, even if she did lose, indicating trumps strength is not what he makes it out to be. Haley was on meet the press on sunday where she indicated she would not endorse donald trump, something a losing candidate usually does for party unity. They tell me, the pundits and otherwise, that theres never been one like this, theres never been anything so conclusive. This was an amazing night and an amazing day. Its been an incredible period of time. Donald trump can now be called the presumptive nominee. Weve been long able to say that about President Biden as well. So barring anything unexpected, novembers election will be a repeat of last one, biden versus trump. The leadership of the house and senate will also be in question this november. Right now the republicans barely hold the house, democrats hold the white house and the senate. Weve been checking on the numbers in californias senate race. They would indicate that adam schiff, the democrat, and steve garvey, the republican, are poised to face off in november. As kris sanchez was pointing out, this is the result schiff wanted. It removes the very serious threat from other democrats, especially katie porter. The numbers between schiff and garvey may look close, but remember, the democrats were splitting the vote. Most will line up behind schiff come november. Kind of the same thing going on in arizona this morning. Current independent former democratic senator Kyrsten Sinema says she will drop out. That means there will not be a threeway race between her, a democrat and a republican that might have split the democratic vote. Here is sinema making that announcement. The only political victories that matter these days are symbolic. Attacking your opponents on cable news or social media, compromise is a dirty word. Weve arrived at that crossroad and we chose anger and division. I believe in my approach, but its not what america wants right now. We will have all kinds of coverage of local races on your screen down there below on our midday news as well. Other news, President Biden will deliver the state of the union speech tomorrow evening. Senator bob menendez and his wife face more felony charges. An indictment says the new jersey couple obstructed justice by hiding facts from their own lawyers, who passed the lies on to the court. Menendez accused of accepting bribes and hes ignored calls to step down. These are some of the pictures from the indictment, the first indictment, items the fbi says they found in menendezs home. Democrats have a tough time claiming trump shouldnt run because hes facing felony charges when menendez is in the Senate Facing felony bribery charges. Scott mcgrew this morning, thank you. Well, a San Franciscobased a iRobotics Company is making a big push to decarbonize and help our climate in crisis and the startup is getting a big boost from amazon. Ginger Conejero Saab joins us live from San Francisco with more on the impact this funding will have. Reporter good morning, marcus and laura. It might just change how our next amazon package shows up on your doorsteps. Glacier ai is a Robotics Company that is based in San Francisco, its an ai Company Whose ambitious goal is to end the amount of waste ending up in landfills. It focuses on recycling, specifically developing technology to streamline sorting through recycling. An aidriven robotic arm helps sort through items quickly. Recycling is a big problem that a lot of people have been working on for a long time, yet there remain challenges to repurposes the volumes of waste. According to glacier, amens send 1. 4 million tons of waste to recycling facilities every week. Fo comparison, thats about one and a half Golden Gate Bridges. The the founders say they both came from big tech and what they saw was cuttingedge technology, but it wasnt being used to solve critical problems. We both had the impetus to want to take modern technology, modern ai and robotics and apply it to a problem that really needed solving, which in this case is how do we create sustainability of of our waste, dispose of things responsibly. Reporter and amazon is also taking notice and is teaming up and investing in glacier to work toward their zero emissions goal by 2040. Glacier is really the next evolution in that step to allow us to better pick out certain commodities as theyre going across the recycling waste stream and learn about what plastics or cardboard are actually being successfully recycled. Reporter and once amazon learns what is successfully being recycled, they can then redesign their packaging so that it will change things on the front end instead of being reactive. Both Companies Say that will be the next generation of recycling. Thats really interesting. Yeah, a new way to go. Thanks, ginger. Ive got a closet full of amazon boxes. I cut mine down, take the labels off. Thats hard, though. I try to reuse them. Doing our thing. Everyone trying. Were trying to stay dry. Its been so wet at times, but then other times weve seen some breaks and a little bit of sunshine. So its been such a mixed bag, youre just like, i dont know whats going to happen. So as we take a live look outside in dublin this morning, a break in the activity, at least here. We are seeing some sun just trying to break through the clouds. There will be a chance of rain throughout today and you want to keep the umbrella close by. We are seeing widespread rain from the peninsula, now starting to move into the north bay, and we get a closer look at the showers moving through marin county, extending toward richmond. And then were also seeing it affecting San Francisco right now, all the way down the peninsula, until you get to about los altos hills, were seeing a bit of a break. In san jose we have some rain thats been pouring for the past few hours, causing some flooding on the streets. Then its also been raining either 680, 880, as youre heading north, youre going to see pockets of rainfall. That will continue through at least the 11 00, 12 00 hours, and then were going to see it starting to pick up just a little more for the east bay, all the way up to the north bay, with a slight chance of thunderstorms into the evening. By tonight, things are winding down, but were looking at an additional tenth to a quarter inch of rainfall, maybe slightly higher in a few spots. As we check in on our Sierra Snowpack, after all of that heavy snow, weve caught up and the central sierra is now at 103 of its normal amount. Were doing the best in the northern sierra. And keep in mind this provides a third of our water supply during those dry summer months, once that melts and fills the reservoirs. So were doing pretty good now. Last year we were almost at double the normal amount. So this upcoming next few days well see about 1 to 4 inches of snow throughout the weekend, not expecting anything major. But we may have some more sierra snow next week, while the bay area gets some rain. And the activity were expecting on saturday comes in and out of here fairly quickly. And then a better chance of some more measurable rain and sierra snow comes late monday into tuesday. So looking at our sevenday forecast, if you were hoping for a warmup, weve got one day, friday, in the upper 60s. Then well spring forward this weekend, and cooler temperatures will continue. Mike, youve been seeing reports of spinouts. Weve seen a number of them. Up here, top of the screen, blue, puddling and ponding. At hostetter, we had a spinout reported. The latest spinout is south 85 as you head past winchester. So watch the area, the whole south bay has been seeing a lot of rain over the last few hours. North 280, north 87 are showing the typical slower drives and more cautious driving. The rest of the bay shows a typical pattern, an earlier crash did clear from the upper eastshore freeway and, of course, the toll plazas are full. Thank you very much. 6 53. Happening now, encouraging new findings show the lake tahoe waters are becoming a lot cleaner. The nonprofit clean the lake literally did a deep dive on its recent cleanup efforts and divers dove down to spots where trash normally accumulates and along the shoreline trash levels are nearly 80 lower. Further down, trash still exists at depths of 70 feet. Those areas will be the focus of future efforts. Coming up, a last look at our top stories and the followup on super tuesday. Gop president ial contender nikki haley is suspending her campaign the morning after her super tuesday letdown. Shes expected to make the official announcement at the top of the hour in her home state of South Carolina. This is a live look at where that is expected to take place. Well bring you live coverage when it gets under way. This all but seals up a november rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Trump. Haley won just one gop primary in yesterdays super tuesday elections, winning the state of vermont. And the race to fill the late Dianne Feinsteins u. S. Senate seat is down to democrat adam schiff and republican steve garvey. You can see that narrow gap separates the two, with katie porter and barbara lee far behind. It also means california will not be represented by one woman in the u. S. Senate for the First Time Since the 1990s. Schiff and garvey are the top two in the race to round out the remainder of the current feinstein term. Sam liccardo leads the race for the 16th congressional seat that anna eshoo is vacating. With votes left to count, joe simitian is coming in second and evan low is third. Voters are nearly exactly split on the only state ballot measure, proposition 1, which would address homelessness and Mental Health, and Governor Newsom supports it. The measure needs a simple majority, but right now the sides are neck in neck and less than half of the ballots counted. The rain has been coming down over the bay area. Are we going to get a break . The break comes tomorrow. We can plan on there being off and on rain today. Were seeing good coverage this morning as we take a look at stormranger, and it is affecting areas farther to the south of the bay area as well and moving northward. Were going to see this giving us a very soggy morning commute, possibly an evening commute for some, with the rain chances continuing throughout today. As we take a look at the radar around the bay area, lots of green and some pockets of some yellows and reds, indicating heavier rainfall. You can go at speed in some areas because we dont have quite as heavy traffic. Here is the Golden Gate Bridge. Low clouds on the north side. There is a spinout reported. With higher speeds you still have to watch and control the vehicle. San jose, more traffic throughout the south bay, freeways traveling northbound after earlier rain. The today show is just moments away. We are continuing today in the bay on roku and other streaming platforms. I sit down with the mayor and we discuss the ongoing search for the new police good wednesday morning. Donald trump winning good wednesday morning donald trump winning big on super tuesday. A november rematch all but set in stone good morning, its march 6th,
