Were looking at our highs today back in the low 80s for cupertino and san jose, up to 79 degrees. Upper 70s and low 80s for much of the inland east bay. We head over to antioch that will be warmer, reaching 87 degrees. For daly city, expect a high of 74 today. In San Francisco, downtown, 70 degrees. Really nice across much of the bay area. A little warmer, though, for clearlake in santa rosa reaching 85 degrees. It already has been active for the start of the fall season. This first week of fall, we have had two or three storm systems hitting the Pacific Northwest, and theres another one approaching. This time it could bring us rain for the weekend for parts of the bay area. By late tomorrow evening we are seeing light rain possibly developing near the coastline as well as in the north bay. Starts out light, and then as we go through the day on saturday, it could be more hit or miss across the bay area and anywhere we could see light showers falling. Looks like some of the more measurable rain will be in the north bay, while most of us see about 0. 1 to quarter inch of rain, and it could be a few hundreds inches of rain in some spots. Sierra snow this weekend, for elevations above 8,000 feet, you could receive an inch or two and nothing heavy, but it will be beautiful to see that coming down especially with all the backdrop of greenery because of the rain we have seen this summer. Thats good news, except it doesnt balance out because over the course of the week he says gases have gone up 60 cents. If you drive an electric vehicle, then you have very good reason to breathe easy. I want to show you some of the average gas prices across the country. They are averaging in the 4 mark there. You see that on your screen. And then you see what we are paying all around the bay area in the 6 range and in the 5 range and such. The governor was on fox news last night and he was talking with sean hannity. He says the reason or rather experts say we are being hit by outages at california refineries and an Oil Production slowdown from russia and saudi arabia and thats part of the reason the prices are being pushed higher, and the governor used colorful language in pointing the finger at the Oil Companies. They are screwing us. Theres no justification. Its not regulation taxation . Yes, 85 cents. Yeah, 85 cents how much do they pay per gallon you had cap and trade and the low carbon fuel standards, and i am being as transparent as i can be, and you add our unique blend you get a differential around 85 cents. We still think about it and talk about it, and after all these years it will make people feel a certain way about this coming to, you know, some kind of closure. You may be staying here at home for the weekend, and g m farms will be opening this weekend with the Pumpkin Patch and the maze. The pumpkins could be damp but the temperatures will be nice and mild in the low 70s during the afternoon. Partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day as our temperatures drop into the 60s. Also this weekend, the hardly strictly bluegrass will be happening. You want to be prepared for the potential of light showers on and off throughout the day on saturday. Friday and sunday will be the best days of the weekend to enjoy the festival. If you are going to the coast, expect it to be in the low 60s. The details are sporadic, but we are looking at a live shot from the caltrans camera. I have seen other angles, and it looks like they still have the westbound direction closed. I would say to avoid the dumbarton bridge completely and go to the san mateo bridge, except they just had a crash in the westbound direction near the toll plaza. Sensors are moving past the scene, so i think that accident was cleared out of the roadway. South bay, we have a recovery after a crash on 680 cleared on 101. Tomorrow it will be cooler as we get more of those clouds coming in. We are also going to be tracking some rain. Lets talk about it. It has already been busy for the Pacific Northwest with one storm after the next moving through. The next system will be dropping in for the bay area on the weekend, and that could bring in a little light showers here and there by tomorrow evening into early saturday morning. It doesnt look like we will all see a lot of heavy rain. There will be light showers, or just kind of off and on, and even into saturday evening in parts of the north bay, we could see a decent amount of rainfall coming down. How much are we talking here . We are looking at a few 0. 01 of an inch for San Francisco and much of the east bay. In some areas it could be as much of 0. 1 of an inch or quarter inch in santa rosa. Thats our rain chances. By sunday its out of here and our temperatures reach into the mid70s. We will warm up for the middle of next week. San francisco also at times will have a soggy weekend up until sunday. Its westbound that jams up because you can clearly see all the activity on the opposite side. On the maps we see the westbound Speed Sensors slow across mid span and getting better, actually, as folks hear about the crash before they approach the scene.
