This month valley water crews have been using tnt to blast through the hardest bed rook and are now 800 feet in, halfway through digging the tunnel. Supervisor preston introduced a resolution urging the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency to look into a no right on red ban. Those restrictions are already in place in dozens of intersections in the tenderloin and preston says its a strategy that has made a difference there. Were trying to expand the efforts to implement no turn on red policies. These have been very successful with pilot in the tenderloin in my district and it has been really successful in preventing drivers from having conflicts and collisions with pedestrians and cyclists and keeping those crosswalks clear. Preston says there was a 20 drop in close calls. San francisco has a goal of eliminating traffic fatalities by 2024. Friday night storm off to the north and out to the west. Then i do see the chances moving in by saturday morning. Then we see some scattered thunderstorm chances into saturday afternoon and evening and may see this swing back around right there as we head into sundays forecast for some more popup chances of rainfall.
