Cal fire announcing today the august complex fire which started exactly two months ago has now burned more than a million acres. The firing is burning in mendocino, lake culuceo and glen counties. It was already the largest in california history, and now its in a league of its own at 1,032,000 acres. In vacaville firefighters worked quickly. Police say about a hundred homes were evacuated in that area. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. A live lack at the Golden Gate Bridge and it is a beautiful bridge day or night. After two to three days of very gusty winds, wind speeds have started to come down. It was a record breaking day in San Francisco. A high of 93 degrees. Tying a record of that same temperature, san jose did break a record going up to 95 degrees. Breaking the record setback in 1903 of 94. So hot temperatures here as we start the week. Again, the temperature trend will be a little bit cooler, but keep in mind the valleys tomorrow including the inland east bay well have another day in the 90s before those changes kick in, what were closely watching is the potential for more north winds at times. A closer look at the timing on that and if theres anying in the rainfall outlook. Well see you then. A violent start to the weekend in san jose after a gunman opened fire at a restaurant. Now fear is gripping the community. Nbc bay area tom jensen reports. When San Jose Police arrived at the restaurant just before midnight friday they found six men shot. Two of them died. Theres too many guns on the street. So now the rainfall prospects. Unfortunately still not looking good in that longrange outlook. High pressure deflecting most of the storms off to the north. That is our top concern. As we head into tuesday and thursday we could see the north winds pick back up. Not expected to be as strong as we just went through, but unfortunately thats going to keep fire danger running pretty high even thou our temperatures especially for the valleys will begin to trend a bit cooler. But look at San Francisco, staying in the 70s. Watching those north winds at times tuesday, thursday. And our valley temperatures, tomorrow probably the hottest day of the week. We should drop back into the mid and upper 80s inland and maybe low 80s by next weekend. Keep in mind our average high of this time of year should actually be in the low to mid70s.
