In rochester, meanwhile, police fired pepper spray and paint balls at a crowd of protesters outside police headquarters. Seven Police Officers have been suspended in connection with prudes death by suffocation in march. New video shows him with that spit hood over his head as he was held down for roughly two minutes. Decision 2020 and President Trump is doubling down on telling voters to vote twice, once by mail and then to go to the polls to vote in person. In the meantime democratic nominee joe biden is planning to speak out on some of the new jobs numbers set to be released today. Good morning, everyone. So President Trump is still talking about double voting, and while we can hear more about that were waiting for the new unemployment numbers to come out in about 30 minutes. Joe biden is standing by in wilmington for reaction. This morning well learn the nations new Unemployment Rate. Joe biden is planning to react from delaware, nearby in battleground, pennsylvania, President Trump again called for americans to vote twice, which is illegal. You sign it and send it in and then you have to follow it. And upon election day or early voting, that is not tabulated and counted, you go vote. You have to make sure your vote counts. Reporter the white house explains. Every vote should count. Reporter north carolinas absentee ballots go into the mail today, the first state to start voting. Election officials insist due pl duplicates will be flagged. Joe biden spoke with jacob blake. He talked about how nothing was going to defeat him, how whether he walked again or not, he was not going to give up. Reporter attorney general william barr suggesting the shooting was justified. He was in the midst of committing a felony and was armed. Reporter things have calmed down in kenosha but the nation remains on edge with the president ial election in less than 60 days. Here in pacifica theyre doing their part to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, will close beaches for Labor Day Weekend. That will start tomorrow. Thats not the only area were seeing that are closing beaches as a way to prevent the spread of covid. I want to show you a list of some of the areas folks may go to considering this weekends conditions. Santa cruz county plans to close its beaches starting tomorrow and that will last through monday. I do want to point out there will be a time 4 00 p. M. To 8 00 p. M. Saturday and sunday that the beaches will be open in the county. You also have Monterey County that plans on closing beaches tonight and that will last through monday. Point reyes in marin, that is due to the woodward fire and then, of course, here in pacifica, beaches and parking lots will be closed starting tomorrow and that will last through tuesday. A number of beaches will still remain open around the bay area and while being outside may be a safer option than inside its still very important to follow those safety guidelines. If people are not wearing masks, everybody is close to each other, then its not a safe space. People congregate inside in the kitchen to help with food preparation and drinks and that kind of activity, and we would really ask that only the host be in the kitchen, that guests do not help out with any sort of food preparation. Health Officials Say a lot of that spread comes through asymptomatic carriers, so its important to wear that mask, keep that social distance and, of course, the safest bet to avoid social gatherings or keep them small and keep them outside. National guard Health Care Workers are now reportedly assisting the staff at santa rosa Memorial Hospital where there was an outbreak among workers. 17 Staff Members were affected. The lnu fires are adding an extra layer of problems. The press democrat reports it create add severe worker shortage. Hospital executives say the outbreak is not directly connected to how many members are working there now. From online to in person, marin county has approved waivers from more than a dozen schools to start those inperson classes again. 15 schools, some private, some public, all got the green light to reopen. Theyre all elementary schools. County Health Leaders say the schools can open as early as tuesday. Theres a growing concern about having inperson classes. Potential lawsuits. Districts who are trying to get a bill passed to offer schools Legal Protection from lawsuits if students contracted the virus at school. Casinos this week got approval to open outdoor tents and should be ready to roll within a few days. In each case city leaders are hoping to recoup at least some of the losses from lengthy closures. Well, if you are looking to get out of the house this Labor Day Weekend, more parks will be open after recent shutdowns tied to wildfires and covid19. The stock markets plunged yesterday as investors stopped investing in tech. There had been a huge runup in tech stocks and so while the numbers are just alarming, most experts are unconcerned. Its a normal adjustments. Prices have been so high we get historic moves. Apple lost 180 billion in value yesterday in market cap. That is the largest single fall of any company in the history of companies. Well, we knew the ecigarette maker juul would lay off, and theyre big layoffs, as many as half its workers, pulled back marketing to just u. S. And canada. And this is the first friday after President Trumps payroll tax holiday took effect. Id be surprised if your paycheck changes, to be honest with you. Companies are authorized to stop taking payroll taxes from you but few will, say experts. Just too much confusion over the plan. President trump likes to think of it as a mandate that employees can opt in and out of it. However, the way the irs regulations were released, its largely optional. The agency told us its looking into potential fraud and its Investigation Team is aware that people are receiving multiple pieces of edd mail while asserting they have not filed an unemployment claim. The World Health Organization says it does not expect widespread coronavirus vaccinations until the middle of next year. They took it upon themselves following guide lines to put up plexiglas themselves, installing it at all three salons way back in may and have been preparing this for a long time. What other sorts of safety protocols have you put in place to make sure clients and your stylists are safe and how do you communicate that with your clients . We followed all the sidelines from the cdc, the state, the county and an email to our guests. They fill out a questionnaire that theyre certified to come in, they dont have a cough or fever, and we take a temperature check.
