You know, depending on where you are and, you know, what view your windows looking at, youre going to see either fog or a lot of sunshine, sierra. Thats the beautiful of microclimates here in the bay area and its going to be a nice afternoon. But as sierra mentioned, earlier, the fog is really covering the Golden Gate Bridge and also the city. So lets get right to this San Francisco hayes valley Weather Underground camera because normally its a great shot but you can see the buildings down below and then thats kind of all you can see because of the fog. Now, we do have High Pressure thats sort of going to help keep us hotter and also dry throughout the bay area. And meanwhile, areas like san jose seeing pretty good clearing and a lot of sunshine expected for this afternoon about 59 degrees right now, current temperatures throughout, probably the coolest part of our morning so far. And then by the afternoon, lets take a look at the hourbyhour outlook when it comes to that cloud cover around the coastline and that fog. So, well get partial clearing for the coast but it will slower to clear compared to inland areas. Inland areas, expect plenty of sunshine, im going to push this timeline forward all the way through tonight and also into tomorrow morning so very summerlike, especially for areas like San Francisco, half moon bay, santa cruz can expect to see some of that fog as well, into early tomorrow morning. Expect that as well into monday. So really its just a trend of summerlike temperatures. Todays forecast will be a lot warmer in some spots but slightly warmer in others. So san jose, a high of 82, concord, 93. We have this High Pressure from the Desert Southwest thats keeping us warmer but were definitely cooler compared to southern california, where they have been seeing tripledigit heat in some areas, also in salina, theyve been seeing tripledigit heat so definitely, when you compare the tripledigit heat to what were going to be seeing here this weekend, were off to a much cooler weather start, at least you have a chance to get away to the coast from the heat. As far as your air quality, though, im happy to say that its going to be such a good day for a hike. Were not worried about the air quality for today. Its going to be good. And as far as your pollen count, also keep in mind that if grass pollen usually tends to get your sinuses going, take that medication to go because we are seeing top allergens as grasse and juniper. Because it is High Pressure, remember High Pressure dries us out. Now, thankfully, its not going to be a windy day, just breezy, mildly breezy at times, but even then, whenever we see those hot conditions paired with that dry weather, we see elevated fire danger so be mindful of that if youre going to be out and about. Report any suspicious activity and if youre going to be grilling, please be safe about it. Longrange outlook, into wednesday, that High Pressure starts to back off a little bit and overall were going to see comfortable weather. If youre going to be hiking in the trails of the east bay, sunny and warm by 1 00. So get those Early Morning hikes out of way before, i would say, 3 00. Inland temperatures start to cool off by monday, 89 degrees and then they get nice and really cool by wednesday, look at that, predicted high of only 80 degrees. Thats about a 15degree drop compared to where were going to be at today and into tomorrow. Early morning fog, again, will linger for the majority of the day for the kwocoastline and th well get some good clearing for this afternoon. Sounds like a perfect forecast. Thank you. When i left to college, i thought, you know, ill never have to come back here again. Ill have an education and be able to get a good job. Reporter instead, she works alongside the same workers who encouraged her to go to college. Everyone in the fields tells you, get a job where you can have airconditioning, you dont have to be outside like us. Reporter but once again, she will leave the fields to return to stanford next week to Start Medical School. But her field of dreams is the one she will leave behind, the one she hopes to return to with a medical degree in hand. Its where i come from.
