Well see the clouds thickening up monday night, leading up to our tuesday forecast which should have some rain for the north bay, especially midmorning, and then that line moves south so your tuesday daytime and evening commute will be dealing with a little bit of rain, and then that line does start to move out as we head past sunset on tuesday evening. So rainfall expectations, again, it is not on par with the storm that we had here on thursday, as it dropped all the rain and thunderstorms, hail, snow, one of the weaker storms we have seen so far in january. Highest totals will likely be in Sonoma County, might locally see a half inch or so, mill valley, kentfield, some of the higher totals well see. Notice how the numbers drop off in san jose and morgan hill. Once we pass tuesday, storm track is going to lift to the north, and looks like Sonoma County may briefly see a Little Something late thursday into friday. As we head into the weekend, we begin to see the showers. Sunday looks to be the main event in terms of the rain right there. You see probably the best chance of more substantial rainfall coming up for the second half of the weekend. As we do future cast friday into saturday night, not a lot there. At least the first half of the weekend, especially San Francisco southward right now looks relatively dry. Well have cloudy skies. Most of the rain will be in the north bay. Then you add in sunday. Now that starts to look a bit more like january. As youll notice, a third of an inch to possibly an inch of rain in the north bay over a 48 hour period for next weekend. For the sierra, this means not a lot of snow through friday and saturday. Sunday is the day i think we could see winter storm watches or warnings going up for the end of next weekend. A chance of light showers tomorrow, brief, light to moderate rain on tuesday, well watch closely. Well see saturday, trending in a dryer, but right now, sunday appears to be the main event in terms of seeing more substantial rain. Not the kind of snow levels we saw last week.
