On the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge you can see the lane closed heading out of San Francisco. Theyre still there. That will be an issue, restricting traffic to one lane at the north side and the fog the concern as folks roll through the morning. It registers over on the road weather index highway 4, concord, pittsburg, bay point, brentwood and Discovery Bay getting hit with the fog. Careful traveling vasco an al Rideshare Services to get from places like work to going out r here and a all the bob, important to point out that not all of the victims are local numbers. Riders. The other half are passengers or riders, this according to an 48page internal report just released by uber, the Ridesharing Service based out of San Francisco. There were about four reported rapes per week during that time period, a slightly higher number of attempted rapes during that time period. Now according to a study, uber banned more than 40,000 drivers in the United States over that twoyear time period for a variety of reasons, including sexual misconduct. Continuous background checks revealed problems in a number of cases. Uber will be sharing the names of the drivers with other ride sharing companies. A Hayward Police officer is recovering after a car crash at tennison and mission. Officers were attempting to stop the robbery suspect when he crashed into the police car yesterday. And now to a followup in the east bay, two homeless moms with children are taking a stand by taking over a vacant home in west oakland, they did that last month. Now, they may be forced to leave because of an eviction notice issued this week. Dominic and misty croft, homeless working mom with five children between them took over the home on magnolia street november 18th. After being there two weeks the court issued an eviction notice for them to get out. This property belongs to oakland. We are from oakland. We have a right to this house more than ridgewood. Ridgewood and everybody else feels for these moms, for people who are homeless but doesnt give anyone the right to take someone elses property. So we see the storm, here is the center of the storm, and its pulling in all of this moisture and so out ahead of that, well see a quick round of some heavy rain and some gusty winds, and then we have to wait for all of this to work its way through the bay area, going into tomorrow, and so thats what will keep it very wet for most of the weekend. So as we take it hour by hour, were seeing partly cloudy skies to start. Here we are going inuick rolls moving from north to south, and pretty much covering the bay area in time for the evening commute. May take a while before it gets going in san jose as we normally see a lot of the storm systems coming in, and then by later on tonight, were seeing some bouts of some heavy rain, but it will be off and on. That off and on pattern continues into saturday. There will be some breaks in between, but there will also be the possibility we could see some thunderstorms in here going in to tomorrow afternoon, and then even on early sunday, this is 4 30 sunday morning and theres lingering rain. Possibly two to three inches of rain for the north bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains and the models have been decreasing just a little bit how much rain were going to see but its still going to be windy. The ground is already saturated. With a southerly wind at 30 to 40 miles per hour, that could bring down some trees and something we have to keep an eye on going into the weekend. Going into tomorrow morning still some of the gusty winds, but the winds will start to calm down as we go into tomorrow evening. In terms of sierra snow, another good one, but also here, too, weve seen the models backing off on how much snow were going to see in the sierra, but its still going to be pretty significant with a possibility of about two to three feet in some of those upper elevations. So here is the sevenday forecast today, we have temperatures in the low to mid60s and it does get slightly cooler tomorrow with a slight chance of thunderstorms on sunday, as that storm moves out we have upper 50s and a chance to dry out next week. No major blockage for 101 but ill track that as the details come. On the other side of the bay, thats where you see the orange highlig highlighting, big amounts of fog, it could be tough to see at times, down to a mile of visibility an issue for travelers down the narrow road. Basically 18 to 20 minutes out of brentwood and byron and Discovery Bay toward 580 and the commute westbound through livermore. So there will be fog through the Altamont Pass right now. Also for highway 4, Contra Costa County, kirker pass be careful. No major crashes but the earlier one in walnut creek looks like its on the shoulder and one concern getting off of the bay bridge theres slowing on the skyway.
