But before i got married, and before i started dating nick, i didnt know too much about the euphoria that is the Jonas Brothers and when i started going to their concerts, just, like, seeing 30,000 people singing every lyric was just like, im a full groupie now jimmy oh, really yeah. [ light laughter ] jimmy theyre crushing it. Youre both crushing it. I mean, cause youre out there promoting this movie, the sky is pink. My tongue is pink jimmy i know, exactly. Yeah [ light laughter ] my tongue is red explain to me this, this is youre promoting the movie where are you here, and how many people are involved yeah. This was new delhi, and this was amity ll it was about 60,000 people that showed up. Jimmy wait, how does that work i know. Jimmy like, where were you like this was in a school. Literally a college, and like jimmy and you said, hey, we just want to get the word out. We wanted to come in and, like, speak to people and talk about the movie. Because its such a special movie, and based on a real life family and 60,000 people came in. It was incredible. I mean, the population of india helps. Jimmy yeah, exactly, yeah. [ laughter ] thats true. Youre right the movie is beautiful i will tell everyone to go see it its heartbreaking, but its also funny and its a family drama. Thats the best way i can set it up. Its real. Its a real family yeah. Torybout a a famiha and they decided that even though she might not have a long life, theyre going to give her a really, really big life and made everything an adventure, and she gobbled up life she eventually went on to write a book, gave like a ted talk and lived a really incredible life so i feel like this movie is sort of so inspiring, in a a world where were so disjointed from our families this reminds you how important Family Support can be, and in a really positive, joyful way. Jimmy yeah it got a standing ovation in the toronto film festival. Yeah. Jimmy a 10 minute standing ovation. Jimmy thats got to feel good, huh . It was amazing. I mean, for 10 minutes people kept clapping. And people were crying, and laughing and so many people came up to me after, and said, i felt like calling my mom. Or i felt like it reminded me life is short, and i want to live it so much. And i guess cinema should do that jimmy absolutely and im so proud to be a part of Something Like that. Jimmy its a great film. For such a long time, we travel around, and you do interviews you do, you know, promotion runs and, you know, you find people and it really feels like, you looking in know, theyre on the outside jimmy sure so, when we got the opportunity to sort of, you know, to tell the story from, i dont know, like first hand, you know, knowledge, we jumped at it. Like this is what it looks like when the gatekeepers of the culture, or the elder statesman, you know, sort of take back, you know, the keys. Jimmy yeah i always put it in terms of, like im not a sports head, but i love espns 30 for 30. Yeah, yeah. And so, this show is also not only for like connoisseurs of hiphop, but even if youre not into it like its still engaging, and educational. Jimmy thats good stuff. Yeah. Jimmy yeah so he was spinning sort of like real mellow music and i think at one point obama, or maybe even michelle, i cant remember either michelle or barack, you know, came up to him and like just requested that he play some real stuff, you know . Like, yo, could you play some i dont know, like some trap music, you know, something [ light laughter ] Jimmy Barack Obama asked for trap music yeah, because its what his daughters and their crew sort of wanted to hear. So yeah, i think that was the request. Jimmy did he say no . No, he started playing it, yeah jimmy see, that surprises me and the p g cra it was crazy like thats yeah. Oh, wow, damn jimmy yeah, i remember that i remember that. And then i was like, well, i dont have a dvd player. Then they were like, here a so t jimmy so they shut all the music off, and put on finding nemo. And then i was like, well theres no monitors. And then suddenly monitors came down [ laughter ] and he so then i put finding nemo on, thinking he just wanted to see the visuals of it while i kept deejaying then he was like, no, no. Play the movie. So [ laughter ] jimmy turn the music off i want to watch finding nemo right now. So were in da club like da da club jimmy yeah and there pixars finding nemo played for two hours.
