[ laughter ] but they were, like, really, really into each other jimmy really so that was the start and then we then we thought we would go for a hike and there was and the hotel was like, oh, theres a a beautiful, beautiful park right up the street. You just, you know, go straight and take a right. And i was like, okay, great is there any, like, great trail for you know, well go for, like, a 45 minute hike or something. Jimmy nice really beautiful. And they said, yeah, no theres so many. Theres all these great trails you know, you dont even need a map. Just you know, you can get one from the guard if you want or whatever. So we get there. And theres a lovely guard at the gate we pay to go in. And im, like, hey, do you know, do we need a map or can we just find our way . And he was like, well, ill give you a map but you dont really n like, just, you know, take a a trail. All these signs to get you back. So we go i have my small dog, melville. Whos, you know, a big dog in a small dogs body but hes like a little schnauzer. Jimmy cute, melville little cute melville. And so we all embark on what we think is going to be this really quick walk. We have, like, half bottles of water. Like, very not prepared. But i lived in a teepee as a a kid. Im like, i can do this im a nature girl. So we go up. And we start walking and first of all theres a sign that says be bear aware. Jimmy yeah, im sorry, wait which is alarming jimmy did you say you grew up in a tepee . [ laughter ] i didnt want to just let that go by me i thought you knew this about me i lived in a tepee for six months when i was a kid with my mom. Jimmy what yeah. Jimmy wow. I had a major kidney operation. And she thought it was, like, a Perfect Place to heal. And you know, it was the 70s. I mean, you know [ laughter ] you got to be theres a a little context there jimmy you lived in a tepee thats amazing it was amazing. It was amazing jimmy wow. It was amazing. So i should be super, like, ready for this adventure, right . Jimmy yeah, i mean, you are one of the few people ive ever met that thank you jimmy i lived in a tepee. Thats amazing yeah. Jimmy did you ever hear the joke the guy goes to the doctor he goes, im a tepee, im a a wigwam im a tepee, im a wigwam. Doctor goes, calm down, youre two tents. [ laughter ] no, that is awful boo ive never heard. Jimmy im getting booed. I cant believe i [ laughter ] jimmy someone booed me from the audience i think if i lived in a a tepee and i havent heard it its not good. [ laughter ] jimmy thats true. All right, sorry so back to this the trail. Okay, yeah. So anyway, no. So we so i bear aware. Im like, thats all good. You know, we jimmy bear aware bear aware which is in and of itself great. Jimmy cute but also frightening. But also frightening. Jimmy yeah because laugh and then youre like, oh. [ light laughter ] jimmy yeah and then so were walking up and, like, let me take melville off the leash and hes running, im throwing sticks for him and we hit a dead end. Were like, oh, i guess this trail doesnt go any further. So we turn around. And as were coming down, im not exaggerating, theres six inches in front of my foot a a massive, like, five foot long snake. Im sure not poisonous but black and is moving quick. Jimmy no and so im like, pick him up pick melville up. So we all, like, grab melville jimmy yeah, get poor melville and so were walking a little bit further we get to a new trail. I see a smaller snake. Im pretty sure that one was poisonous. It had, like, a really weird marking on it. Jimmy what is this wheres this whats happening . Jimmy a snake sign exactly jimmy bear aware how about yeah. I see, like, some fresh bear poo so, like now were, like were like, i think its fresh. I think it was here 20 minutes ago. You know so now were , like jimmy bear grylls now. Yeah were, like, totally, like, trappers [ laughter ] and finally were lost weve given the last bit of water to melville. Its, like, an hour and a half in and i finally am like and you get that little part of you thats scared. But im finally like, you know, guys, i got to, like can you just go ahead for a second this is really kind of gross. But i was like you know how, you know, runners, like, you know, the whole, like, snot rocket thing like, where you just got to get rid of it . Like, im sorry, guys. Jimmy where you have to blow your nose you know what im talking about. Jimmy yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah no [ laughter ] yeah, no none of us have done it. But, yes so, like, just go ahead just wait a minute so i go like this, right and it comes out and i take my sweatshirt and i go to, like, wipe my nose and i look down. And my white sweatshirt is covered in blood and i have basically gotten a bloody nose. So at this point they turn around theyre like, whats going on . So now im trying to take my sweatshirt off im, like, changing in the forest im like, now were going to die. No one will be able too find us theyre going to think i was attacked [ laughter ] jimmy youre covered in blood. The bears are going to come for me jimmy youre like, i hate nature. Yes, exactly. Basically i was, like, ive become a real new yorker jimmy yes, come back to the city yeah, all right good im glad you survived that one please thank you, thank you. Jimmy its unbelievable.
