We havent had a lot of wind to mix things up and help freshen up our air. Hopefully too air quality will be improving. Still chilly up there as we get a look at santa rosa, the temperature now at 49 degrees. Mostly some 50s, even now 62 degrees in morgan hill. Really warming up quickly there. Our high temperatures today, we will be reaching into the mid60s in the south bay. Mostly sunny skies. And for the east bay, oakland expecting a high of 61 degrees there. 61 degrees also in redwood city, San Francisco, outer sunset, 58 degrees and the north bay reaching into the low 60s with a light wind coming out of the southwest. And we still have the christmas in the park setup. Maybe youre going out there this afternoon. It will be in the low 60s. It was really busy yesterday evening so youll probably have less of a crowd if you go there tonight. And it will be cool so make sure you have a nice warm jacket. We talked about how dry its been during this month, and im just keeping you updated on our rainfall totals weve had so far and how that compares to normal. Weve only measured. 0. 08 of an inch in santa rosa. In San Francisco, one of the spots that had the most rain, but that was still just a drop in the bucket. We should be measuring over 3 inches of rain. Thats what were lacking right now. Oakland lacking almost 3 inches of rain there. Livermore about 2 inches of rain. These numbers continue to go up every day because decembers normally one of the wettest months we have here in the bay area, but weve had this strong area of High Pressure blocking any chances of rain. All of the fronts have been to the north of us and that will be the case as we go through the rest of the week, but then as th that scoots off to the east, hopefully opening the door for the chance of rain next monday into tuesday. In the near term, its going to be all dry. A lot of sunshine. Temperatures above normal. Up to 62 degrees in San Francisco this weekend. Looking good for your new years eve plans. But there will be more clouds moving in and inland areas as warm as 67 degrees this morning. Morning temperatures dropping down into the low 40s. Ill continue to monitor those rain chances over the next several days, marcus and kira . All right. Thank you, kari. Coming up, a new addition to the royal familys christmas plans.
