Extremely rare. The 911 call for help came in around 10 30 friday night. Looks like we have a couple people, active shooter. Reporter near the end of a rap concert at a bar inside the homestead bowl an eyewitness said a fight broke out between some of the rappers and another group of men. I dont know why security didnt do their job. Reporter this man came to the concert and said security guards werent paying attention when a group of men came in, obviously with guns on them and picked a fight. Then he heard the gunshots. After the first shots were fired he and his girlfriend ran for safety. Then more shots maybe 15 total. Im pretty sure there are five or six shooters. There were a lot of gunshots. Reporter a Sheriffs Department spokesman said investigators dont know exactly how many gunmen were involved but at least two people were shooting at each other. Tonight people who frequent the Shopping Center here cant believe what went down. Its crazy. Its always a safe place. Reporter they think they were not residents but people who probably came specifically for the rap concert from other parts of the bay area. Absolutely. Yeah. Thats a concern. Its always a peaceful area. Im surprised. Reporter one person was injured after being shot in the leg and is recuperating. Deputies did arrest one man and confiscated two handguns. New tonight Governor Brown commuted sentences for 150 convicted felons in california for a christmas tradition in his office. It put california at odds with the Trump Administration. We are live in San Francisco with a breakdown on the governors executive order. Sergio . Reporter terry, Governor Brown granted clemency for women and men with a wide array of convictions burglary, drug possession, even murder. But immigration advocates say the pardons for two men in particular seem to outline a continued defiance against the Trump Administrations immigration policies. Among the 151 pardons are two for men from cambodia who were days from being deported because of criminal convictions decades ago. In the last several months the Trump Administration has been cracking down on immigrants with prior criminal records, even if they are not violent. Governor browns pardons have prompted federal judges to block their deportations. An attorney with the asian law caucus represents one of the men. Both of the men were immigrants scheduled to be placed on a plane to be deported to a country they left when they were children on monday. The governor granted a pardon. With the pardon, hes reaffirming that california believes in compassion and redemption and Second Chances by contrast to the fear and hate from the white house. Reporter the latest batch of pardons brings browns tea toll to 1,463. He far outpaces modern governors including reagan, earl warren and his father pat brown. Among those who are still in prison but had sentences commuted is oakland resident emil deweaver. He was profiled by nbc bay areas investigations about strategies to reform californias prisons. The arrest of a man who allegedly planned a trims attack on pier 39 didnt keep people away. Everett jameson planned the attack which would have involved guns and explosives. Reporter its become a bit of a holiday tradition, at least with the bay area proud series. This is our third visit to san joses Branham High School for the winter wishes rally. It is a guaranteed feelgood experience. This year did not disappoint. And now reporter it is that time of year when snow falls in much of the country and tears fall at san joses Branham High School. It is their seventh annual winter wishes rally. The culmination of a tradition in which every Student Makes a wish for themselves or someone else and the Student Leadership class works for months to grant the biggest ones in front of the school. New details tonight on an explosive report about inflammatory comments President Trump made allegedly in an Oval Office Meeting. White house correspondent Kelly Odonnell has the story. You probably noticed this morning we didnt have below freezing temperatures. We were nine or ten degrees warmer in spots including the north bay. 41 degrees there now. The reason is we have high clouds. That blanketed and helped warm us up by a couple of degrees. It helped keep the overnight lows above freezing. No freeze warnings are in place. For tomorrow, expect similar conditions to today. Some areas may see overcast skies. For the east bay, concord, 58 degrees. Walnut creek, 57. Oakland in the 50s. Along the peninsula, also catch some overcast skies. San mateo, 56. Daily city, 57. San francisco stayed in the 50s all week and it wont really change into tomorrow. A quick reminder, too, for the north bay area. Santa rosa at 58. We do still have a spare the air alert thats very much in place. It was in place today and it will be for tomorrow. North bay, east bay and the peninsula, expect unhealthy air quality, so no wood burning. It is illegal to burn wood. If you have a fireplace, im sorry, but you cant turn it on tomorrow. As we head into monday we have the arrival of a system that could bring the potential of clearing up the air quality more than what we have been seeing all week long.
