Sonal Chauhan was born on May 16, 1987, in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh to Raghuraj Singh and Shivani Chauhan. She completed her schooling in Noida and pursued Philosophy at Gargi college. Post college, Sonal chose modelling as her career and often walked the ramp for small designers. She entered the Miss World Tourism 2005 pageant and became the first Indian to win the title. Post her success at pageant level, she started getting noticed within the industry with major brands like LG, Reliance CDMA, Hero Honda Passion, Nokia, etc. During the India International Jewelry Week 2011, she was the showstopper for YS18, a famous jewellery brand. When she was working on print ads and commercials in Mumbai, Sonal was spotted by director Kunal Deshmukh at a restaurant. The two exchanged numbers and in a week she was shooting on the sets paired opposite Emraan Hashmi. Along with Bollywood, Sonal was acting in Telugu films as well. Her notable work was in the movie 'Legend' where she was paired with Balakrishna. She did various Telugu films including 'Dictator', 'Size Zero', 'Sher', etc. Sonal has some singing skills as well, which she has showcased as she sang "Kaise Bataoon" with KK. With several upcoming projects including movies with the Bhatts, and the romantic comedy ‘Jack and Dil,’ Sonal seems destined for great things going ahead.
