The judge had few words for the man responsible for the still-infamous kidnapping scheme that led to the death of an Exxon executive in an affluent New Jersey suburb 28 years ago, who now at the age of 73 was seeking to get out of federal prison.
“ORDERED that the Motion for Compassionate Release under the First Step Act filed by Arthur D. Seale is DENIED,” wrote U.S. District Judge Anne Thompson in Trenton.
With that, Seale will remain in prison and continue to serve a 95-year sentence that federal prosecutors say was intended to ensure that he die there.
