I have only one question. This is an abc news special report. Now reporting david muir. Good morning. We are coming on the air because President Biden is about to deliver remarks in israel after arriving overnight to a region in crisis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu greeting him on the tarmac. President biden then meeting with israels war cabinet in a show of support and an effort to prevent the war from israel and hamas from turning into a much wider conflict here. The president also meeting with the families of victims and First Responders a short time ago. A second planned meeting with arab leaders in jordan on this same trip was cancelled after the explosion at that hospital in gaza. The horrendous scene there, killing at least 500 people. Both palestinians and israelis blaming each other for that blast. For that blast. Meanwhile, there have been protests in support of the palestinians across the region. Youre looking right now at pictures coming in to abc just moments ago. This is outside the us embassy in beirut. You can see protesters there demonstrating again in support of the palestinians. The iran backed militant Group Hezbollah calling for another day of rage, specifically targeting the us and we should mention at this hour that here in this country, security remains on high alert in several major cities across the u. S. President biden is now hoping to head off a wider war that, of course, always runs the risk of drawing in hezbollah to the north and lebanon and in iran while trying to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in gaza with hundreds of thousands of people. You can see that is the room in israel where the president is expected to speak moments from now, meeting a short time ago with families of victims in israel. I want to bring in our chief Global Analyst martha raddatz. You and i have been on the air so many times when a president has made a trip to the war zone. Usually its done in secrecy. But this one on the world stage, and it does come with risk. Reporter it certainly does, david. We are standing here in tel aviv. Theres a helicopter overhead. Streets are closed off below me. You can see Police Officers lined up and military as well because of the security here. I cant really ever remember a president going into a war zone, a conflict zone, so publicly, announcing days before that he would be coming to israel. The president thinks this is such an important trip and he is trying to walk that fine line that tight rope to support israel and its right to defend itself. Take into consideration the plight of the innocent Palestinian People inside gaza. I think that is the message he gave to Benjamin Netanyahu today. That they have to consider that. They are about to launch a ground war, according to the israelis. What kind of ground war they do i think will depend on things they have heard from joe biden. That truly was the message. Not having those meetings with arab leader, muslim leaders, is so important because you have seen those scenes. They need President Biden, israelis, they need the help from arab leaders to calm this part of the world down. That hospital explosion, no matter what. No matter what the israelis say, you will hear from people who will not believe them. They do need, in pa part of the world, to hear from their leaders to calm this situation down, david. You have covered this conflict for many decades, dare i say. As we keep our eye on this camera, where the president is expected to speak, curious what you make of these images coming in from beirut. Just alarming pictures of protesters outside the u. S. Embassy there. Reporter yeah. Theyre incredible pictures. And we were watching those images a short time ago. You have some Lebanese Military throwing grenades at protesters. That is the u. S. Embassy there. They are outside the u. S. Embassy. We do have to keep in mind whats happened here in israel. You saw it up close. I saw it up close. It is a horrendous attack by hamas. But things have really spiralled out of control. Those images from lebanon show you how bad this could get. Martha, stick with us. We are about two minutes away from President Biden addressing the world from israel on this trip to israel. I want to bring in ian pannell for a quick thought. You heard martha talk about just the devastating images coming in out of gaza at that hospital. Both sides pointing to the other. But there are early images from that site. And again, we dont know. All we know is what President Biden said today. Hes facing what he said earlier today, which is that we believes its at the hands of hamas, based on what he has been shown by his own defense team. But in the mean time, what can we discern, if anything, from some of the images that have emerged from the site . David, i think what we need to be careful about is we dont know who carried out this attack. Both sides, as you say, are accusing each other. What we can say, though, is it looks different from other attacks, thousands we have seen inside gaza. All the hallmark are not necessarily of a direct strike. This is something the israelis were pointing out to me this morning, which they say comes from the propellant from a rocket. It hasnt got the hallmarks of an israeli attack. You see a large area thats blackened, which indicates there had been something burning there at very great heat. You see all the cars are burned down. And the buildings around theres no obvious structural damage which again we have seen time and time again. That does raise questions about exactly whats happened, david. Ian pannell with us as well. President biden now entering the room, again, in israel, having met with families just moments ago. Lets listen to the president. Please have a seat. I have come to israel with a single message. Youre not alone. You are not alone. As long as the United States stands, and we will stand forever. We will not let you ever be alone. Most importantly, i know recent terrorist assault on the people of this nation has left a deep deep wound. More than 1,300 innocent israelis killed, including at least 31 american citizen, by the terrorist group hamas. Hundreds, hundreds of young people, at a Music Festival. The festival is for peace, for peace. Gunned down as they ran for their lives. Scores of innocents, from infants to elderly grandparents, israelis and americans, taken hostage. Children slaughtered, babies slaughtered, entire families massacred. Rape, beheadings, bodies burned alive. The atrocities that recall the worst ravages of isis, unleashing pure inadulterated evil on the world. Theres no rationalizing it, no excusing it, period. Brutality we saw would have cut deep anywhere in the world, but it cuts deeper here in israel. October 7th, which was sacred, a sacred jewish holiday, became the deadliest day for the jewish people since the holocaust. It was brought to the surface, painful memories, scars left by antisemitism. The world watched then. It knew and the world did nothing. We will not stand by and do nothing again. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. For those that are living in limbo waiting desperately to learn the fate of a loved one, especially to the families of the hostages, you are not alone. Were working with partners throughout the region pursuing every avenue to bring home those who are being held captive by hamas. I cant speak publicly about all the details, but let me assure you. For me, as the american president , theres no higher priority than release and safe return of all these hostages. For those who are grieving, a child, a parent, a spouse, a sibling, a friend, i know that black hole in the middle of your es fl like youre being sucked into it. Survivors remorse, the anger, the questions of faith in your soul. Staring at that empty chair. First sabbath without them. Theyre the every day things, the small things, that you miss the most. The scent when you open the closet door. Morning coffee you shared together. Bend in a smile, Perfect Pitch of a laugh, the giggle of your little boy, the baby. For those who have lost loved ones, this is what i know. Theyll never be truly gone. Theres something thats never fully lost. Your love for them an their love for you. I promise you, you will be walking along some day and say, what would he or she want me do . Youll smile when you pass a place that reminds you of them. Thats when you know, when a smile comes to your lips before a tear to your eye. Thats when you know youre going to fully make it. Thats what will give you the fortitude to find light in the darkest hours. When terrorists believe they could bring you down, bend your will, break your resolve. But they never did and they never will. Instead, we saw incredible stories of heroism, courage. Israelis taking care of one another. Neighbors forming watch groups to protect their kubbitz. Homes welcome to survivors. Retired soldiers running into danger. Civilian medics flying rescue missions and off duty medics at the Music Festival caring for the wounded before becoming a victim themselves. Volunteers retrieving bodies of the dead so families could bury their loved one in accordance with jewish tradition. Reservists leaving behind their families, their honeymoons, studies abroad, so much more. State of israel was born to be a safe place for the jewish people of the world. Thats why it was born. Long said, if israel didnt exist, we would have to invent it. While it may not feel that way today, israel must again be a safe place for the jewish people. I promise you were going to do everything in our power to make sure there will be. 75 years ago, just 11 minutes after its founding, president harry s. Truman and the United States of america became the first america to recognize israel. We stood by her side ever since. Were going to stand by her side now. My administration is in close touch with the leadership from the first moments of this attack. Were going to make sure we have what you need to protect your people, to defend your nation. For decades, weve been showed israels qualitative military edge. Later this week, im going to ask the United States congress for unprecedented support package for israels defense. Were going to keep iron dome fully supplied so it can continue standing over israeli skies, saving israeli lives. We moved u. S. Military assets to the region, including positioning the Uss Ford Carrier Strike Group in the eastern mediterranean, with the uss eisenhower on the way, to deter further aggression against israel and to prevent this conflict from spreading. The world will know that israel is stronger than ever. My message to any state or any other hostile actor thinking about attacking israel remains the same as it was a week ago. Dont. Dont. Dont. Since this terrorist attack took place, weve seen it described as israels 9 11. For a nation the size of israel, it was like 15 9 11s. The scale may be different, but im sure those horrors have tapped into some kind of primal feeling in israel, just like it felt in the United States. Shock, pain, rage. An allconsuming rage. I understand that Many Americans understand you cant look at what has happened here, to your mothers, your fathers, your grandparents, sons, daughters, children, even baby, and not scream out for justice. Justice must be done. I caution while you peel that rage, dont be consumed by it. After 9 11 we were enraged in the United States. While we sought and got justice, we also made mistakes. Im the first u. S. President to visit israel in time of war. I made wartime decisions. I know the choices are never clear or easy for leadership. Theres always cost. It requires being delivered. Requires asking very hard questions. It requires clarity about the objectives and an honest assessment about whether the path youre on will achieve those objectives. Vast majority of palestinians are not hamas. Hamas does not represent the Palestinian People. Hamas uses innocent families in gaza as human shields, putting their command centers, their weapon, the communications tunnels in residential areas. Palestinian people are suffering greatly as well. We mourn the loss of innocent palestinian lives like the entire world. I was outraged and saddened by the enormous loss of life yesterday at that hospital in gaza. Based on the information weve seen today, it appears the result of an errant rocket fired from a terrorist group in gaza. The United States stands for the protection of civilian life during conflict and i grieve, i truly grieve for the families who were killed or wounded by this tragedy. People of gaza need food, water, medicine, shelter. Today i ask the Israeli Cabinet i met with for sometime this morning to agree to the delivery of life saving humanitarian assistance to gaza, understanding there will be inspections and that the aid should go to civilian, not to hamas. Israel agreed humanitarian assistance can begin to move from egypt to gaza. Let me be clear. If hamas diverts or steals the assistance, they will have demonstrated once again that they have no concern for the welfare of the Palestinian People. As a practical matter, it will stop the International Community from providing this. Working in close cooperation with the government of egypt, the United Nations and agencies like the World Food Program and other partners to get trucks moving across the border as soon as possible. Separately, i ask israel that the International Red cross be able to visit hostages. I just demand that the United States will fully supports. Today im also announcing 100 million in new u. S. Funding for humanitarian assistance, both gaza and the west bank. This money will support more than 1 million displaced and conflict affected palestinians, including Emergency Needs in gaza. You are a jewish state. You are a jewish state. But you are also a democracy. Like the United States, you dont live by the rules of terrorists. You live by the rule of law. When conflicts flair, you live by the rule of war. Which sets us apart from the terrorists. We believe in the fundamental dignity of every human life. Israeli, palestinian, arab, jew, muslim, christian, everyone. You cant give up what makes you who you are. If you give that up, then terrorists win and we can never let them win. Israel is a miracle. Triumph of faith, resolve, resilience over impossible pain and loss. Think about october 7th, the jewish holiday, where you read about the death of moses. Tragic loss to an entire nation. A death that could have left helplessness in the hearts of the entire nation. But when moses died, his memory, his message, his lessons have lived on for generations with the jewish people as well as many others. Just as the memory of your loved ones will live on as well. After reading the story of moses death, those who observe the holiday began reading the torrah from the very beginning. Story of creation, remind us of two things. First, when we get knocked down, we get back up again and we begin anew. Second, when were faced with tragedy and loss, we must go back to the beginning and remember who we are. We are all human beings, creating an image of god with dignity, humanity and purpose. In the dark, theres to be a light to the world is what were about. You inspire hope and light to so many around the world. Thats what the terrorists seek to destroy. Thats what they seek to destroy. Because they live in darkness. But not you. Not israel. Nations of conscience, like the United States and israel, are not a measure solely by example or power. Were measured by the power of our example. Thats why, as hard as it is, we must keep pursuing peace. We must keep pursuing a path so israel and the Palestinian People can both live safely and securely in dignity an in peace. For me, that means a twostate solution. Lets keep working for israels greater integration with its neighbors. These attacks will only strengthen my commitment and determination and my will to get that done. Im here to tell you the terrorists will not win. Freedom will win. So let me end where i began. Israel, you are not alone. United states stands with you. I told this story before. Ill tell it again. My first meeting with an israeli Prime Minister 50 years ago as a young senator. I was sitting across from her desk in her office. She had a guy who later became Prime Minister sitting next to me. Just before the 1973 yom kipp war. She flipped the maps up and down, telling me how bad things were, how terrible they were. All of a sudden she looked at me and said, would you like a photograph . I looked at her. She got up from her desk and walked out into that hallway. I think its marble flooring. Walked out in the hallway. Walked around a bunch of photographers standing in front of us. We were Standing Shoulder to shoulder. Without her looking at me she said to me, knowing im here, why do you look so worried, senator biden . And i said, worried . Course im worried. And she looked at me. She didnt look. She said, dont worry, senator. We israelis have a secret weapon. We have nowhere else to go. Well today i say to all of israel. The United States isnt going anywhere either. Were going to stand with you. Well walk beside you in those dark days and well walk beside you in the good days to come. They will come. As you say in hebrew, which im not going to attempt because im such a terrible linguist. Ill say it in english. The people of israel live. The people of israel live. Israel will be safe, secure, jewish and a Democratic State today, tomorrow, forever. May god protect all of those who work for peace. God save those who are still in harms way. Thank you very much. President biden in israel making remarks, obviously, on the world stage. Not taking questions there in the room. Certainly, magnitude of the situation that hes now trying to confront also as president of the United States. He said, i come to israel with a simple message. You are not alone. Went back to that message at the end of his speech. Spoke of the 31 american citizens who are among the dead as well. To the families of the hostages, he said, you are not alone. And he also went on to talk about how he will ask congress in the coming day force money, for aid to help defend israel, to help keep the iron dome fortified and continue to protect israel from incoming attack. He also said the vast majority of palestinians are not hamas. He talked about the Palestinian Civilians suffering. He spoke of what we saw at the hospital in the last 24 hours, saying, given the intelligence thats been shared with him by his own defense team right now, that he believes this was an errant rocket fired by hamas. Regardless, we know that the images have enflamed the world. Weve seen the protests throughout the region. He talked about 100 million in humanitarian aid for gaza and the west bank. Lot of news being made by the president just moments ago. Want to bring in our chief Global Affairs correspondent martha raddatz. First, aid for military, for protection, for defense of israel. He will ask congress in the coming days. He also delivered in message, martha, not directly to israel, but it can inferred thats who he was talking to. You reported on our air in the past days that this would be the message he would deliver. Dont be consumed by rage. He talked about the u. S. , saying we have made mistakes before, in particular after 9 11. He reminded the world that israel is a democracy and must act in accordance to rules of law, not the rules of the terrorists. Obviously, they dont have any. Reporter exactly. It was a somber and steadfast speech, david. The message he gave was very clear and very tough. The white house said that President Biden would be asking tough questions of netanyahu and reminding him of the United States own experience after 9 11 and the fallout from that. We were a country that everyone sided with and felt so bad for. And then went into iraq. That tide turned. He does not want to see that happen here. He wants israel to keep in mind whats happened in the past and learn from those past lessons as they, as planned, go into gaza and to certainly think about civilian casualties. Palestinians do not not support hamas and that aid package, that aid package to the west bank and gaza will mean a lot to the people there. And joe biden really hammered that message home. David. Martha, my thanks to you. I want to bring in ian pannell again. And, ian, you heard the president there say that he has asked the Israeli Cabinet to open up some sort of route, obviously through egypt to try to get aid to civilians inside gaza and saying if theres any evidence that hamas tries to steal that aid as its coming in, there would be action taken. But he did say that the Israeli Cabinet heard that message from the president and that this will be an effort as well that we see in the coming days. Yeah thats right. A message of support, solid charity, but also of moderation and moderation, not just in terms of appealing to israel, not to be to feel the anger, but not to be consumed by it. Also a message that aid package that was going to be delivered to the people of gaza and the west bank handing out some kind of olive leaf, saying that there will be some kind of humanitarian corridor. I mean, we know the secretary of state, blinken, has been trying to work on this as well. I think its an Important Message that very, very rare cancellation by by the king of jordan of the meeting with President Biden. President biden is about to go down that road any minute now. He was about to fly to jordan and meet with the leaders of jordan uh of egypt and of the palestinian authority. Theyve pulled out of this meeting. It was a real snub for President Biden and also the attempt to try and bring along wider regional support. I just want to pick up on one other thing. President biden made it very clear that he said that clearly not all the Palestinian People are hamas, but the longer conflicts go on, the more radicalized people become. And we actually saw protest today in the west bank where people were calling out in support of hamas. Hamas does not rule the west bank, and it just shows the dangers which the us is acutely aware of, of a spread in this conflict, but also of radicalization. David very good point. Ian pannell also in the region for us. Ian, thank you. One last question to our chief white house correspondent, mary bruce. Mary, you heard the president say he will ask congress for help, for money, for aid, for the defense of israel. He also spoke of the 100 billion in humanitarian aid for gaza and the west bank. And as ian just pointed out, the second part of this trip, and it was crucial while visiting, meeting with leaders of the arab world was canceled, given the images that came out of that hospital in the last 24 hours. But the president and this white house thought it was very important to keep this trip moving forward. He went to israel anyway and, david, there is no question this is the most difficult and sensitive Diplomatic Mission of this presidency so far. You just saw the president trying to balance this impossible tightrope of showing unwavering support for israel, grieving with israel while also trying to tamp down rising tension, trying to address this humanitarian crisis and prevent this from becoming a wider war. You have mentioned this, but it stands out and it bears repeating that caution that he had for israel while he is vowing that israel will once again be a safe place for jewish people, the president with that blunt message, dont be consumed by your rage. Dont make the same mistakes that the us did after nine over 11 be deliberate, he said. Have clarity about your objectives. And while he did, again speak to the Palestinian People, noting that hamas doesnt represent them and calling for israel and egypt and others to allow aid to finally flow into gaza, what you didnt hear, david, was any assurances that he may have gotten from netanyahu or any assurances that he is hoping to get from from egypt that this aid will finally be able to flow. And that is part of the reason david, that this is such a diplomatic high wire for this president. Mary bruce live at the white house for us, mary bruce, martha raddatz, ian pannell and all of our teams and crews, photographers across the region. We thank you. President biden landed in israel overnight to confer with israeli Prime Minister netanyahu and other leaders. Lets go back to martha raddatz. Reporter good morning again george. The president walking a fine line, wanting to support israel after the horrific attack, but also wanting to help innocent palestinians caught in the crossfire. This morning in tel aviv under immensely tight security after the missile attacks high. President biden into the embrace of Benjamin Netanyahu. The two expressing support for one another. Israel is poised for a Ground Invasion into gaza after the slaughter of more than 1,300 people by hamas. President biden promising israel help with whatever they need to defend themselves. I have come to israel with a single message. Youre not alone. You are not alone. As long as the United States stands, and we will stand forever, we will not let you ever be alone. Reporter but this meeting comes after gaza was rocked by a devastating explosion at a hospital. The palestinians say it killed at least 500. The palestinians also blaming an israeli air strike which israeli officials strongly deny, blaming a misfired rocket on islamic militants. President biden, for the first time, weighing in. I was deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in gaza yesterday. Based on what i have seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you. But theres a lot of people out there who are not sure so we got to overcome a lot of things. Reporter biden is grappling with the fallout from the hospital explosion with massive protests around the world outside u. S. And israeli embassies. The head of the palestinian authority, president Mahmoud Abbas canceling his meeting with the president , Jordans King Abdullah doing the same. The president , of course, concerned about hostages as well, meeting with some of the family members. Robin . We so appreciate your reporting, martha. Thank you. The president is already facing a difficult task, as fury grows following the deadly blast at the hospital in gaza that was packed with people who were sheltering there. Lets go back to our chief Foreign Correspondent ian pannell in tel aviv. Reporter overnight we had this catastrophic strike on this hospital in gaza seen in videos circulating online killing hundreds according to Palestinian Health officials. Hospitals throughout gaza, of course, have been used as shelters by the most vulnerable since the bombing started. This strike hit the parking lot of the hospital in gaza city. Both sides blaming each other. Hamas is saying it was an israeli strike. But this morning israel saying its examined the video and intelligence showing that the hospital was actually hit by propellants by a rocket fired by islamic jihad. Video on the ground this morning appears to show a large area badly damaged by fire, but little structure damage, the kind of damage we have seen repeatedly over the last few days. News of the explosion spreading like wild fire throughout the region. As martha said, protests not just in the region but around the world. Mahmoud abbas, leader of the palestinian authority, calling for three days of mourning. Hezbollah, the Lebanese Militant Group backed by iran, calling for a day of rage. Now israel urging palestinians in gaza to head even further south to an area they say will be safe an will receive humanitarian aid. For 12 Straight Days after hamas murdered 1,400 people including americans, has many fearing nowhere is safe. Ian, thank you very much. Rachel, thank you very much. Now we have the fda considering a proposed rule to ban formaldehyde in straightening products. Janai norman is here with details. Good morning. The fda has considered formaldehyde a human car cinogen. Frequent use has been linked to certain types of cancer, sometimes more than doubling the risk. Why when they began drafting a proposed ban t didnt happen . Its unclear. Now the agency is considering proposing a rule. A rule like this could ban hair straightening products like perms with formaldehyde. And even those kerotin treatments that claim to be formaldehyde free but release it when it comes into contact with air. They say theres no timeline yet for when this could happen or even if it for sure will. The risk of these products have been known for years prompting many women to abandon them and embrace their natural hair movement. Those who would argue any action should have already been taken. Guys . You are rocking it with the natural. Thats another reason why. Janai, thank you for leading the way. Coming up our gma morning menu. The crackdown on fake Online Reviews. Amazon is leading a coalition of companies trying to protect consumers from these phoney reviews. Our chief Business Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis is all over it and has the story. Good morning, rebecca. Good morning. Most people at a minimum, they glance at review befores they make a big purchase. I like to go really deep there. As many as 30 to 40 of Online Reviews are fake. Getting rid of those bogus reviews is an important objective. Amazon, expedia, trip adviser and booking. Com, review sites trust pilot and glass door are teaming up to form the coalition for trusted reviews thats dedicated to ridding the internet of fake reviews by developing common standards and definitions for what constitutes a fake review, coming up with practices for detecting fake reviews and sharing information for how the people behind fake reviews operate. But they dont have a timeline on when this would start so what can you do in the mean time . Look at those time stamps. If all the reviews are clustered around the same time, its a sign something fishy might be going on. And language. If youre seeing the same language in repeated review, that could be a give away. Look for purchase badges on amazon. Finally uses resources like fake spot which is a website and app. You add that link to a review. They will analyze it and tell you if its too good to be true. Generally as a rule, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Rebecca, thank you very much for all that useful information. Were going to turn the new scrutiny on the fda to ban a commonly used food dye which is used in nearly 3,000 products in the u. S. This comes after california passed a law to ban the dye. Our dr. Jennifer ashton is here to explain. Good morning, jen. Great to see you, as always. What do we know about red dye number 3 and the dangers it might pose . This is the latest chapter in this food chemical safety saga. Started over 25 years ago when the fda took it out of cosmetics after lab studies found red dye number 3 was linked to causing cancer in male rats. It may also be associated with hyper activity issues in children. Its in a lot of things. California now not waiting any more for the fda and saying, were gonna ban it from food. That will take effect 2027. Theyre going to give manufacturers a chance to relabel and repackage. The fda saying they are looking into the petition and once theyve evaluated that petition and data, they will publish their findings. What are some things that contain the dye . It is in so many things, michael. Basically anything that has the bright red cherry color can contain it. Candy, soda, juices, cookies, frosting with that bright color. Savory products like bacon, vegetarian bacon, or frozen casserole. You wouldnt expect it in there. And medication. Cough medication, gummy vitamins. Again, anything that is colored that bright cherry red, read the label. That could be in it. So many everyday things. Yeah. Wow. As parents should you avoid thing likes this for your kids . When you talk about anything that could be a toxin, you need the right dose, you need frequency. Weight is also important which is why children at smaller weights could be more at risk. For parents who may be concerned, read those labels. Thats always important. Try to eat from the farm not the factory as much as possible. If you see a color thats not found in nature, you probably want to avoid that. All right, doc, thank you very much. Time for pop news with lara. Get over here, michael. Trip to the ballroom. This is one way retailers will stay competitive and make sure they dont attrition customers to their competitors. Reporter heres how it works. At checkout, an eligible amazon pharmacy customer can select free drone delivery. The pharmacist will fill the prescription, then its loaded into the drone which will make its way to the customers property. The drones have ai power sense and avoid technology to navigate around people, pets and power lines. When the drone takes off, its checking to make sure the flight path is clear. Once it reaches the destination, it looks down to make sure the area is clear and its safe to deliver the package. Reporter as Companies Like walmart, amazon an alphabets win deliver drone, the prevalence is expected to increase in 2024. Amazon leads the pack when it comes to delivery of products. So if amazon is doing something innovative, you Better Believe that retailers are going to be in its wake trying to develop or at least take on that same technology in order to better serve their customers. Which is good news for everyone out there who needs medication. The goal is to help customers who may not be feeling well enough to go to the pharmacy or they have mobility issues, they might live outside a major city which already have Prescription Delivery Service, like capsule. Additionally amazon is trying to help customers who may need to get a medication quickly. That delivery time 60 minute ors less. Very fast. Rebecca, we are together in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This morning we are talking about nutrition to fight Breast Cancer and promote wellness for everyone. Our dietitian, nutritionist Rachel Beller is here. You have a new book spice rack. So good to have you back. Okay. Amber is raving about this. Its more than just a cookbook. Tell us about it. It is. It is a full on action plan with over 100 recipes that can reduce the risk of cancer and optimize our weight. I put my ten nutrition commandments in there. Like two books in one. Its about the power of three. What do you mean by that . I have the beller method. Its a meal building strategy. It includes three things. Base of low starch veg, protein and healthy fat. Were going to start with the low starch vegetable base. Thats what you have here. I tell my patients think of two big handfuls. Weve got your favorite here the power spice blend by beller nutrition. Its great. Onions, garlic, tumeric, black pepper, parsley. Universal. It goes on everything. Next we move on to our protein. To reduce risk, i recommend a plant based protein. What i have here shasuka your way. Chick peas, for example. You can use peas, cannellini bones. Peppers, add marinara sauce. Then i added the beller nutrition savory blend there. Just amazing. Smell this actually. Paprika, cumin, garlic. Thats simple. Then hear you just see an example of another meal that we have. Low starch vegetable base. These are lentil meatballs. Marinara. I love that you make vegetables the star. We dont normally look at it that way. It helps us feel full. Modulates blood sugar. Has phytonutrients to protect us at the cellular level. Whats going on here . I also have a chapter all about your power pantry. This is my new star. Black cumin seeds. Like a cousin of cumin. Different flavor profile. What i love about black cumin seeds. It helps with digestion. I added the beller nutrition spicer blend. Love that, too. So good. So soothing. Full confession. You are always trying to get me on the matcha. I couldnt do it. This could replace matcha many yes. This is young barley grass powder. I like to refer to this as a night time latte. Helps us relax. Has prebiotic fibers. Its milder in the flavor. Youre going to love this. You know how i feel about matcha. Smooth. Matcha before. People like this. I do, too. This is something different. Its nice, smooth. I also needed the beller nutrition. Really crank up the antioxidant, antiinflammatory. You know that. How do we go about getting the right one . My recommendation is to keep it simple. I prefer single ingredient profiles. Watermelon, pumpkin seeds. We dont need the gum, the additives and the sweeteners. They dont help our gut health. Keep it simple. One ingredient and thats it. Stir it into your plant based yogurt, anything, your oatmeal. I know you said this is your new star. This is an oldie but goodie. My favorite dessert. So easy to make. This is blue berry crumble. What i have added from the power pantry is oat fiber. When we buy oats, usually they remove the outer part. This is the hull that we throw away. We are going to auddd this is an insoluble fiber. Think of a brush scrubbing your insides clean. Its great. Has zero calories, lots of fiber. Three grams per tablespoon. Easily integrates into anything. I love it. I wondered when you were going to get fiber into the conversation. Got to fiber up. This is incredible, as are you. So happy for you. Scan the qr code on your screen. Get these recipes. Or go to our website, Good Morning America. Com. Rachels book spice rack is available now bundled with rachels signature spice blend to help you get started. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the next beller nutrition master class starts when . October 21st. We welcome everyone to join. I get to personally walk everyone through the journey to help optimize their health. You got a personalized coach here. Cleo wade tell us about her new jardiance its a little pill with a big story to tell. I take oncedaily jardiance, at each days staaart. As time went on it was easy to seee. Im lowering my a1c. Jardiance works 24 7 in your body to flush out some sugar and for adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease, jardiance can lower the risk of cardiovascular death, too. Jardiance may cause serious side effects including ketoacidosis that may be fatal, dehydration, that can lead to sudden worsening of kidney function, and genital yeast or urinary tract infections. A rare, lifethreatening bacterial infection in the skin of the perineum could occur. Stop taking jardiance and call your doctor right away if you have symptoms of this infection, ketoacidosis, or an allergic reaction, and dont take it if youre on dialysis. Taking jardiance with a sulfonylurea or insulin may cause low blood sugar. Jardiance is really swell, the little pill with a big story to tell. Back with author an poet cleo wade. Her book heart talk was a New York Times best seller. Now shes back with a new collection remember love. Cleo, good morning. Give it up for cleo wade, everybody. Thanks for having me. Remember love this is your first original work for adult since 2018. You call this a collection for tender times. What do you mean by that . I dont think theres a person you could meet who doesnt think we are living in tender times. And when i wrote this book, i didnt know or could have predicted just how tender the times would feel when it came out. I wanted to emphasize the word tenderness. I felt like it was an emotion that people would allow themselves to have. When the world feels overwhelming, we think i shouldnt think about myself. I cant say my life is hard. Not that hard or that bad. I felt like everyone could say i feel really tender. Sensitive right now. I feel delicate. So you know for me i wanted to speak to an emotion i thought people would give yourself permission to have. Sometimes people need to know they have permission to feel that way. You are a best selling poet. What do you say inspired you . Im inspired by people. I take a lot of pride being that. When people say its hitting the fan i feel like i get calls. Theres the breakup or the loss or whatever is happening. Im so proud that i am able to support and love the people i love. I just found a way to bring what i do with my friends to the world of my books. Speaking of books. With hard talk you consider that book to be a friend. What do you consider this book to be . I never sit down and think, i am going to write a book. I think, i want to create a friend. I want to give someone a companion for life. No matter what youre going through, even if you are sitting around a table full of girlfriends when stuff gets hard. Put on your pajamas and get into bed and you are alone. Having a book by my side helps me with that last thought before i get into bed or that first thought in the morning. I try to create and write for those moments, peoples most intimate times. Speaking of friendships, you are working to create you say special spaces for your readers on your book tour. Not just on tour, in everything i do. If you exist solely online, youre gonna feel bad. You just are. If you get in real life on my tour last night in new york, we included what we call a friendship hour, where people come early to meet people. I say if youre afraid to come to something alone, come to my tour. If you think you will be the only one who came alone, youre not. We created ice breakers on cards for how people can talk to each other. I want people to know community is available to them. If you get in real life, if you stand shoulder to shoulder, someone can look you in the eyes and give you a hug. I gave 500 hugs last night. You will feel better. A lot of it is about logging off and getting in real life an letting somebody see you, hold your hand an even maybe have a good cry to remind you we are human and well get through this if were together. I appreciate you. Your book feels like a hug. I hope so. Thank you for being here. Cleos book remember love is out now. Make sure you pick yourself up a copy of that. Now were going to ginger.
