And initially, all of the lanes were closed. But again, now its just the two right lanes that are still blocked. We dont have an estimated time for reopening. And if you need an alternate route, you can go to highway 37 or you can take the bay bridge as well. So well continue to follow this for you throughout the morning. Midday but that front moves through here this afternoon and that is when we have that chance of a shower in the north bay outside of the north bay. At least 11 americans are among the nearly 1600 people killed. And israel has launched an aggressive counter offensive attack, bombarding gaza and hitting more than 1000 military targets. The Israeli Defense minister calls it a total siege, cutting off all gas, electricity and power to gaza. Hamas has threatened to begin executing hostages if israel continues to shell areas where residents live. At least 900 have been killed in israel and the death toll in gaza is nearing 700. Palestinians the secretary general of the un issued this plea for an end to the war. I recognize the legitimate grievances of the palestinian people, but nothing can justify these acts of terror and the killing, maiming and abduction of civilians. I reiterate my call to immediately cease these attacks and release all hostages. Countless families are terrified with people trapped or missing in the conflict. We talked to an israeli american who says she was supposed to fly to israel with her daughters on sunday, but says her airlines canceled their flight from sfo to tel aviv and she knows people that are stranded there. On the other side of things, there was also a rally held in support of palestine in San Francisco over the weekend. As many as 500 protesters packed the area outside of the israeli consulate, saying they want their position to also be heard, chanting free palestine. They say they support the Palestinian Resistance despite being met by a large group of counterprotesters in support of israel. On the other side of the street. Now back here live in the east bay, todays march in support of israel is expected to start right around 5 00 here, just outside of the walnut creek library. Sfpd says they got the call yesterday afternoon to part of the building that is used to grant visas from the chinese government. He clearly tried to get something from his car because the Security Guard did not take it out. Thats what i hear. Security guard do not take it out. And on thursday, looking at rainfall estimates with this next front, very minimal. Its not a substantial rainmaker by any means, but we will see some showers mainly in the north bay and likely along the coast as we head into the afternoon today as that cold front moves through. So highs today will go into the mid 60s and the mid 70s. Cloud here in the north bay a bit brighter in the south bay, the south bay remains dry today. Well watch that front move through here between about 3 p. M. And 6 p. M. And thats the best chance of finding those light showers in the north bay overnight tonight. That front clears us. Its going to bring the cloud cover away from the region. So we clear out those skies. It gets chilly in some areas, some of our coldest spots will drop into the 40s heading into wednesday. But wednesday, its drier, its brighter, and we begin to warm up future tracker temperatures by tomorrow afternoon.
