This crash happened around 2 00 this morning along east 2nd street with the intersection of east s street. The officer hit the pedestrian in his patrol car and the person ended up dying at the scene. The california Highway Patrol has now taken over this investigation. We want to show you right now live from the scene what it looks like. What we know is that east 2nd street will be closed for several more hours while evidence is being collected. You can see them doing that work right now. They also have to clean up the crash site. Just two miles away, Marin Catholic paused classroom learning for the same reason just three weeks ago. The centers for Disease Control is releasing new information about how masks work. If any queens had already left the nest, it was just a few and very early. Murder hornets which are native to asia are five times larger than honeybees. They were first spotted in Washington State late last year. Experts are concerned that they could wipe out the honeybee population and threaten our plants and crops. Chance of sprinkles tonight across the southern half of the bay area. A better chance friday night into saturday, still not a lot of rain coming up. Heres a look at the storm thats coming in today. You can see theres just not a lot of moisture with this weak cold front. Most of it will slide to the south. Here you can see the clouds and the sprinkles that are possible. This is up around 20,000 feet. It has a dry layer under it that it has to saturate before it reaches the ground. Thats why im thinking sprinkles more than a solid shield of light rain. Tonight the cloud cover will keep the southern half of our neighborhoods in the 40s, the northern half clears out as this system passes on and you drop into the mid 30s. So its going to be a smaller window, which means light amounts of rain out of this system. Still a third of an inch the heaviest will be in the north bay to quickly taping down to a couple hundredths of an inch in the south bay.
