We are sad to report a texas firefighter has died helping to battle the august complex fire in the Mendocino National forest. She has been identified as diana jones, a firefighter with the Crescent Fire Department near fort worth texas. It happened yesterday near the mepd seeno national forest. Jones and her son were in california working with a private contractor when she was involved in a vehicle accident. I guess they must have enjoyed it. For example, we now are operating a advanced wildfire pretick system that takes wildfire information and weather information, and it allows us to forecast how wildfires create their own weather and how that impacts fire spread. Those can now adjusted into our forecasting system in realtime so we can better predict fire behavior and fire spread in the future and smoke dispersion and dice transports. Its research already being applied to todays Wildfire Response. Weve already sent the model forecast, the realtime system out to some cal fire folks who are managing some of the fires in the bay area right now. Here in california last night lawmakers passed 5 of the 7 pieces of legislation aimed to change how police operate. After he sent 20 letters to santa clara officer dr. Sarah cody between april and july that were aggressive, offensive and threatening in nature.
