Officials in 12 states say theyre still running short on medical supplies and personal protective equipment. What do hospitals and doctors need the most right now . I would say tests, tests, tests. I dont want to speak for everybody. Im sure there are parts of the country where n95s and gowns are maybe a more acute concern. But we are months into this now, and i dont know anybody who feels they have as much access to testing as they would like. There are parts of the country, many parts of the country, where turnaround times are five days or more. If you have covid, its going to be very challenging for you not to transmit that to somebody when you are living in very close contact with them. So i would say, if you are in a hot spot, if you are living with someone at home who is highrisk because of advanced age or other preexisting conditions and you are working in an environment where you cannot avoid being at risk for covid, its unfortunately probably the safest bet to try to find other living accommodations.
