Nascar says they will continue to investigate to see why that rope was fashioned like an apparent noose, but they are thankful to learn that this does not appear to be an intentional racist act against Bubba Wallace. Bubba wallace, as we just played there on cnn, he reiterated last night that he was reacting to what nascar told him. He never saw a noose, he didnt report it, but its wallace whos getting attacked this morning by his critics, who are really ready to seize on this moment, a potential misstep because of what hes trying to do for this sport, which is make it more diverse, change the perception. Kenneth, i feel like we cant reiterate enough that wallace never asked for this attention. As you mentioned, he never saw the noose, he never reported that there was one in his garage. What he did was react to the fact that nascar had launched an investigation. And the drivers, appropriately so, rallied around him to sew that acts like this are not tolerated in nascar, to show the country that this is not what nascar is about. But it seems disturbing that there are people out there that are not rejoicing in the fact that this wasnt a hate crime and nascar took the appropriate steps, but rejoicing in the fact that they get to once again victimize Bubba Wallace and put it in his face.
