These three burglars caught on Security Camera saturday inside a san ramon home while residents were away. This wasnt their only stop. Police say the crooks hit six houses in one night. Weve never had six in one night. Reporter police say this burglary crew was experienced, likely looking for homes that were dark and appeared to be unoccupied. Once inside they searched for two th specifically jewelry and cash. Reporter how they broke in was always the same. Californians will ring in the new year with hundreds of new laws that go on the books, many of which will affect you and your family. Reporter there are new laws on the books that boost education spending, fix up classrooms and further define charter schools. But many of the new laws also focus on the physical and Mental Health of children, older kids will be snoozing for joy. A new law to be phased in over the next three years means california high schools will not be allowed to start earlier than 8 30 a. M. And middle schools will start no earlier than 8 00 a. M. Advocates for the new law say later start times will help combat sleep deprivation and improve student achievement. Another law requiring that all employees dealing with food preparation be trained and certified in food allergy safety. According to the cdc, Food Allergies affect an estimated 8 of children in the United States or one in 13 kids. The bill was introduced following the death of a 13yearold arin da girl who had a severe reaction to peanuts at a summer camp. Another lunch room law will strengthen lunch shaming bans. The new law will require all children get the same meal even if their family isnt up to date on meal fees. With all the concern about the safety of youth football that has led to a major dip in participation, a new law now limits full contact to two practices per week.
