We made it closer to the top and saw several people enjoying the snowfall. Its beginning to look a lot like christmas in downtown san jose. And just above the city more than 4,000 feet up its starting to look like it, too. All lanes have been shutdown for hours while crews were rounding up several dozen run away cows. No kidding. Check out all this madness. The chp says multiple big rigs jackknifed in the snow including a cattle trailer ironically spilling all of those cows. The car was tracked driving over the bridge six times yesterday and today the license plate was tracked to alamo. The family says as long as the car keeps moving it gives them hope that the familys still alive. As the davis family gets ready for thanksgiving thoughts of finding their missing relatives is always on their mind. It was running through my mind weve got to find mama. Reporter the 75yearold sandra young is like a second mother having helped raise him. And her two Great Grandkids didnt show up at his mothers house on monday as planned. The children are a 7yearold and a 9yearold. Young has been raising them since their parents died in a car crash. Yes, maybe she had come in a little late, but not go missing. Reporter davis said he spent four Hours Tuesday night driving through san pablo and other parts of the east bay where the cars license plate was tracked. Fairfield police say young and the two kids are considered to be, quote, at risk given youngs medical condition. But davis believes as long as the car is moving, theyll be fine. As long as they keep tracking her license plate and shes moving, we know shes okay. Young drives a green 2000 acura tl california license plate. The family says young doesnt have a cellphone which makes it more difficult in trying to track them. All right, thank you so much. Chris bar from lafayette was paralyzed while surfing at ocean beach in San Francisco back in february 2017. I fell and went head first into the ocean floor with enough force to break my neck in eight places. Reporter chris bar had been surfing ocean beach every week for a decade. That was before the day in february 2017 when his life came to a sudden halt. The neck injury left chris paralyzed from the neck down. He couldnt talk or breathe on his own. When i got there the first words he mouthed to me were pull the plug. The prognosis was bad, and bad meaning, you know, probably a 95 to 97 chance that ill have nothing below my neck. Chris made progress in rehab until he plateaued six months in. He saw no more improvements, but then he was accepted as patient number one into an innovative trial at the mayo clinic in minnesota. Chris team of doctors took stem cells from chris own stomach fat and injected them into his spinal cord to promote regeneration and recovery. It was fast. It was fast. I felt it going in.
