It is 82 contained and cal fire is optimistic it will be under full control by thursday. The kincade fire burned nearly 78,000 acres. Its the latest active wildfire in california. In the east bay a protest is planned as city crews begin to clear out a large homeless encampment on wood street and west grand avenue close to interstate 880. The city says the lot is filled with abandoned vehicles. Our media partner the east bay times says up to 100 vehicles could be towed away. The city says it will not impound those vehicles used for shelter. Activists say its unfair to ask people in the encampment to leave without giving them a place to go. A vote is expected on an unprecedented project spanning Santa Clara County to San Francisco and it could speed up your commute. The project would add an express lane to highway 101 and 280 from morgan hill to sfo leading all the way into downtown San Francisco.
