You can see its everybody but the coast and up into the mountains. Well be in the mid50s to low 60s at 7 00. 73 at the coast but already 83 to 88 at noon, on our way to 91 to 98 away from the coast. Hot sunshine and still in the he 80s. Southbound 680 as you make your way pa, theyre trying to a traffic break to clear some of this road work. It is a little bit slow. It should be cleared well before 5 00 and things will be flowing smoothly. A live shot of 101, southbound traffic is on the righthand side moving well to 580 and the earlier crash southbound 101 has been cleared so its looking good all the way down to the Golden Gate Bridge. Thanks, frances. Vta is cracking down on law breakers this morning. Its an effort to prevent accidents for National Rail safety week. One of the places deputies will be handing out tickets or warnings is at the light rail station near Delmar High School in san jose. This summer a student was injured there when she went under the safety gate, the same way another student was killed five years ago. There have been 20 vtarelated accidents this year that crackdown starts at 7 00 this morning. Building a better bay area sometimes involves sounding an alarm. New developments, a loss in court for residents in san rafael trying to stop smart train testing. A federal judge denied their motion to halt overnight testing of the systems horns. Smart has been testing its rail extension since august. Testing is expected to end soon and is next scheduled for friday night. Happening now Mountain View city council is set to vote on new restrictions for rv parking on city streets. The proposal would ban oversized vehicles on streets that are 40 feet wide or less. The typical width of residential streets and streets with bicycle lanes. Opponents, including the aclu, say the ban is unconstitutional. The city has established safe parking programs for campers but those spots are limited. Tonights City Council Meeting starts at 5 00 p. M. Berkeley has Broken Ground on an Affordable Housing project in the southern part of the city. The stewart street apartment project will become permanent lowincome housing.
