The flames spread to a victorian next door. Four people and an infant in the second building were displaced. The red cross is taking care of them now. Reporter matt, the Oak Grove School district knows this will make a lot of people sad, some even angry. Administrators say they had do it. The schools that will be closed will be del roble, miner and glider elementary. All will close after the school year. District Officials Say they were forced to make this difficult decision because the district is struggling financially. Its experienced a decrease in enrollment over the last decade. The district had eight schools to choose from over the last several months. Numerous Community Forums were held and a committee listened to concerns from parents and children. In the end, the district says it was a difficult decision and will focus on helping families and staff make a transition to their new schools. In a newsletter from the superintendent, he says i understand this will take time and that a profound sadness will be felt with the closing of schools. We are all committed to doing all we can to make these changes as smooth as possible. In the coming months, the families will be receiving letters telling them what their new school will be for the coming school year and then after enrollment is finalized, thats when staff and teachers will find out where theyre going. When she woke up, she found a man touching her thigh and openly touching himself. She posted about it on twitter and says the supportive responses she received convinced her to finally go to police. The San Francisco Police Officers association is criticizing the current use of force policy after an officer on bike patrol was hit by a car. The undercover officer was attempting to arrest two suspects involved in a car breakin, in alamo square. One officer struck the car while trying to escape. The officer suffered nonlifethreatening injuries. Association president martin hol ran says its frustrating to sfpd officers, that it prohibits us from shooting at a suspect vehicle even if the suspect is trying to kill or seriously injure innocent civilians or officers. In october, officer tank he will suffered a critical head injury after being hit while on bike patrol. The use of force policy was changed in 2016 after a series of officerinvolved shootings. The search continues for the driver who hit a deputy with his car.
