After practice players told me who ever takes overral done smets position will have very big shoes to fill. They are pulling for smith. Anquan boldin and bethea say even though he is not a teammate, he is still a friend. For me it is not about football. It is making sure he is okay as a person. As a team though we have to move forward. At the end of the day, wish the best for him. Players deny reports that there was trouble between smith and Colin Kaepernick off the field. I have to ask about the reports he and kaepernick were fighting over a woman. I dont know about that. I dont know anything about that until you just said it. Kaepernick said it is not his car smith hit. Police arrested the linebacker on thursday night on suspicion of dui, hitandrun and vandalism. They say he hit a parked car at his apartment complex in santa clara. Smith said this on his way out of jail. This wasnt a dui. The situation that happened could have been handled differently and i apologize to everybody i let down, and i apologize for how it played out. As far as everything concerned it will work out how it is supposed to work out. In light of his previous problems it seemed he was doing better. His attitude, the way he talked, the way he interacted with people, he was making real strides. This is an unfortunate situation. They hope the strides can continue. He wont be playing football for the San Francisco 49ers he will be supported and helped, and he will thought have to walk this path alone. Smith is already on probation after two previous dui arrests and he could face jail time. He is scheduled to be arraigned. Abc7 news. Well, it is an actionpacked weekend in San Francisco. Thousands are going to at t park to see joel olsteen tomorrow. Up to 50,000 are going to fort mason for the jpop summit. The big draw is outside dwolden gate park and they are expected to bring in more than 2,000 people. It started today and sergio was there. The San Francisco Fire Department is reacting after the family of an Airline Crash victim dropped his lawsuit against the city. He died in the aftermath of the crash two years ago. She was ejected from the plane and covered in Firefighting Foam and run over by a responding fire truck. Her family isnt talking about the confidential settlement agreement. They released a statement saying i am hopeful the dismissal will bring closure and healing for the members to the events of the flight 214. Governor brown has granted parole to a transgender inmate pay for sex assignment surgery. The state is appealing the ruling. It is unclear if norsworthy will still have the prison funded surgery before she is released. A lot of concern on the uc campus understandably after a student was robbed at gunpoint while walking on campus. Yeah, i generally feel that the campus is pretty safe for me to walk around. Just after midnight this morning, a 20yearold male student was robbed at gunpoint while walking down speaker plaza next to hoss pavilion. The two men took his wallet and cell phone. Uc Berkeley Police say armed robberies are not that common on campus, but people have been getting robbed about once a week in the neighborhoods just south and west of campus. In the outskirts of berkeley it is more common or coming now on to campus more. With the semester about to begin and more students populating the campus, the crimes of opportunity will be on the rise. Thats why they are recommending bear walk. Bear walk is a free doortodoor Night Safety Service for students. You know, these things dont happen that often and it feels like maybe i should talk to bear walk. New at 11 00, police in oakland are sorting out a wild crash involving three cars and a building. It happened around 6 30 on macarthur boulevard. There are a couple of sideshow skidmarks in the area, but so far no word on whether this was related to a sideshow. A car was snarled. It was on the connector ramp to the god lupe parkway guadeloupe parkway. Look at this. This car exploded this evening. The picture was posted on instagram with the bay area news group. It happened on Seventh Avenue in oakland. No word how the saab caught fire. The car obviously destroyed. Evacuations have been lifted for most of the 13,000 people forced out of their homes from that massive fire in lake county. People living in the Spring Valley area, Wilbur Springs and Morgan Valley are now allowed back into their homes. The rocky fire has destroyed 43 homes and 53 other buildings. More than 70,000 acres has burned. It is now 50 contained. Crews are hoping for full containment sometime late next week. Fire crews rescued injured dog. You can see it here from the rocky fire.
