Keira Inniss wins scholarship to help fight hypertension in Barbados

Keira Inniss spent her childhood helping those around her. Her acts of service later influenced her decision to pursue a career as a public health professional. 
“Growing up I was always eager to assist in any way possible, whether it be ensuring my elders took their medication on time to supervising children when asked to. It is an honour to care for others and contribute to their well-being,” says Keira.
She was in Brownies at primary school and went on to join the Key Club in secondary school. These organisations helped to foster her passion for philanthropy and to pursue an area of study where she could help those in her community.
