Judge Sentences Ex-Cop Who Killed Daunte Wright to 16 Months of Jail Time on Manslaughter Convictions

A judge sentenced former police officer Kim Potter to 16 months in prison followed by eight months of supervised release for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Black man Daunte Wright last year. Judge Regina M. Chu said that the convict was remorseful and only made a mistake during the incident.
