There’s a lot at stake in the 2022 elections as the pandemic has exposed deep-seated issues in health, education, transportation, and governance.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is expecting four million first-time voters by the end of the registration period on September 30. As of April 15, however, there have only been around 1.5 million first-time registrants.
To inspire Filipinos to participate in the upcoming elections, Rappler’s civic engagement arm MovePH is launching a series of huddles to help citizens better understand how good governance can impact different sectors.
