Jill Biden in Portsmouth: First Lady celebrates post-pandemic freedom

Biden asked everyone to think back to where they were a year ago.
"Go back to where our heads were then," she said. "We had empty grocery store aisles. Think how we felt about toilet paper, which we couldn't find. Here we are one year later, together again. And, doesn't that air seem so much sweeter without a mask? I am so proud of Joe. He worked so hard to get this country back on track."
Biden said people have been hurting.
"We had food insecurity, and hey, let's give a round of applause for our teachers and all they did this past year," she said. "Our country needs so much mental health healing and Joe knows that. He is working hard to bring America back together again."
