The BJP has replaced its incumbent MP with farmer Lumbaram Chaudhary, while Congress has named Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, as the candidate from Jalore-Sirohi. Despite the BJP's stronghold in Jalore in the past four Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has made significant gains, winning 99 seats in the 2018 state election, setting the stage for a closely contested battle in Rajasthan.
