SUMMIT TWP., MI – A fire destroyed a Summit Township home early Friday morning.
The Summit Township Fire Department responded to the 300 block of Woodland Avenue at 3:33 a.m., March 5, Capt. Scott Stoker said. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy on another call saw the fire and reported it, he said.
Flames were coming out the east side of the one-story house when crews arrived on scene, Stoker said.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured during the three and a half hours crews were on scene, Stoker said.
