Isle of Wight County Schools to allow return of in-person learning 5 days a week for select elementary students

ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. -
Isle of Wight County Schools announce the return of in-person learning 5 days a week for PreKindergarten through 5th grade students.
On January 28, Superintendent Jim Thornton announced the possibility of returning some students on the in-person continuum plan to a full, five-day weekly schedule beginning February 16.
Since the announcement, the division says they have been monitoring data for positive cases and quarantines and adjusting furniture in classrooms to assist with physical distancing.
At this time, PreKindergarten through 5th grade students on the in-person continuum model will return to 5-days of in-person instruction beginning Tuesday,
